    Abstract: A capacitive discharge ignition (CDI) system for generating ignition sparks in an internal combustion engine comprises a single CDI module including a plurality of charge storage capacitor devices, a corresponding plurality of sets of ignition outputs, at least one charging circuit for charging at least one of the plurality of charge storage capacitor devices, and an ignition controller for selectively and individually controlling each of the plurality of charge storage capacitor devices and the at least one power supply circuit. Each of the plurality of charge storage capacitor devices is operatively coupled to the ignition outputs of one of the plurality of sets of ignition outputs. This allows for the single CDI module to power multiple, independent spark plugs either simultaneous of, immediately prior to or after each other while still delivering full energy to each ignition device.

An outlet end of the primary duct is in fluid communication with the internal combustion engine, while the inlet opening of the secondary inlet duct is adapted to receive intake air. The primary inlet duct extends into the secondary inlet duct so as to form a double-tube chamber within the secondary inlet duct including a resonant cavity defined between the primary inlet duct and the secondary inlet duct. The double-tube chamber is sized so as to generate sound waves enhancing propagation of an intake air flow toward the at least one cylinder of the internal combustion engine through the primary inlet duct.

    Abstract: A pressure relief valve is disclosed for use in air intake tracts of I.C. engine installations. The air valve includes a tubular member having apertures therein covered over by resilient diaphragm elements that, when a negative pressure (vacuum) within the system exceeds a pre-determined level, deflect and enable relief of the negative pressure within the air intake. When the negative pressure returns to normal operating levels, the diaphragm returns to position. The negative pressure within the intake tract can be raised, for example, by an obstruction at the air inlet of the tract.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for increasing braking efficiency of a disc type brake assembly. In a disc type brake assembly, a brake caliper adapter for mounting between the caliper assembly and steering knuckle to reposition the caliper assembly in a radial direction further away from the axis of rotation of the friction disc to accommodate the mounting of an enlarged diameter friction disc. The relocation of the caliper results in an increased braking torque and increased braking efficiency. The adapter may additionally be configured to accept a different or increased performance caliper and may accommodate longitudinal shifts of the brake caliper position.
