Abstract: Disclosed is a method for transmitting integrated packet data by a relay station (RS) in a multi-hop relay communication system, including: integrating a plurality of packet data received from mobile stations (MSs) and determining a data integration scheme for transmitting the integrated data to base station (BS); receiving packet data from MSs, classifying the received packet data into one or more integration packet classes according to the determined data integration scheme, and storing the same; determining QoS (Quality of Service) requirements and a MCS (Modulation and Coding Scheme) level of the stored integration packet classes; calculating required resource according to the determined MCS level and requesting an allocation of the resource from the BS; receiving an approval for resource allocation from the BS, and modulating and coding the integrated packet class, mapping the same to the resource to configure an integrated packet; and transmitting the configured integrated packet to the BS.

Abstract: Provided is a method for improving useful substance-producing organisms using metabolic flux analysis, and more particularly a method for improving a host organism producing a useful substance, the method including: calculating a maximum flux value corresponding to the theoretical maximum yield of the useful substance in the metabolic network model of the host organism for producing useful substance, and calculating the optimum value of metabolic flux associated with useful substance production in the metabolic network when the value of cell growth-associated metabolic flux is the maximum under the condition where fermentation data are applied or not applied; selecting metabolic fluxes whose absolute values increase from the range between the maximum value and the optimum value; screening genes associated with the selected metabolic fluxes; and introducing and/or amplifying the selected genes in the host organism. Production of the useful substance can be effectively improved by using the method.

Abstract: A three-dimensional nanostructures and a method for fabricating the same, and more particularly to three-dimensional structures of various shapes having high aspect ratio and uniformity in large area and a method of fabricating the same by attaching a target material to the outer surface of patterned polymer structures using an ion bombardment phenomenon occurring during a physical ion etching process to form target material-polymer composite structures, and then removing the polymer from the target material-polymer structures. A three-dimensional nanostructures with high aspect ratio and uniformity can be fabricated by a simple process at low cost by using the ion bombardment phenomenon occurring during physical ion etching. Also, nanostructures of various shapes can be easily fabricated by controlling the pattern and shape of polymer structures. In addition, uniform fine nanostructures having a thickness of 10 nm or less can be formed in a large area.

Abstract: The present invention is related to hybrid conjugates formed by covalently bonding siRNA (small interfering RNA) molecules to hydrophilic polymers for improving stability of the siRNA molecules effective for delivering the siRNA in vivo, and polyelectrolyte complex micelles formed by ionic interactions between the conjugates and multifunctional cationic compounds. The siRNA-hydrophilic polymer conjugates and polyelectrolyte complex micelles derived therefrom can be used for improving stability of the siRNA molecules in vivo. Consequently, the delivery of siRNA molecules for therapeutic applications into cells can be facilitated, and the siRNA is still active even though a small dose of the siRNA is used.
