    Abstract: Processes for forming a polarized lens via an injection/coining injection molding process are disclosed. One of the processes includes forming a polarizing insert by sandwiching a polarizer between two layers of cellulosic material, and surrounding the polarizing insert with high-impact polymer using an injection/coining process of injection molding that results in minimal stress in the lens.
