Abstract: The present invention relates to diionic liquid salts of dicationic or dianionic molecules, as well as solvents comprising diionic liquids and the use of diionic liquids as the stationary phase in a gas chromatographic column.
Abstract: The invention relates to the use of optically enhanced chiral ionic liquids, particularly for gas chromatography and as a reaction solvent. Specific optically enhanced chiral cationic liquids are described as is a class of optically enhanced chiral anionic liquids.
Abstract: Macrocyclic antibiotics having ring structures with at least 10 members act as separation agents in crystallization, precipitation, filtration, electrophoresis and chromatography. The macrocyclic antibiotics include ansamacrolides, macrolides, macrocyclic peptides, polyenes and derivatives thereof. The process has been found to be especially advantageous for separation of optical isomers by electrophoresis and chromatography.
Abstract: The media is an ether derivative of cyclodextrin such as a permethylated hydroxy ether of cyclodextrin or a dialkyl trifluoroacetyl ether derivative of cyclodextrin and is used in capillary gas chromatographic columns. Particular benefit is obtained using the ether derivative of cyclodextrin in a fused silica capillary.

Abstract: A highly selective bonded phase material useful to separate a wide variety of organic and inorganic substances by thin layer chromatography (TLC), liquid chromatography (LC) or high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) is produced by bonding a cyclodextrin to a silica gel by means of a specific silane linkage. The preparation of such materials and their uses are described.
