A movable member provided with locking structure is mounted on the stock for selective engagement with lock receiving structure on the buffer tube for locking the stock in various axial adjustment positions along the buffer tube.

An insulating mounting arrangement is frictionally attached to and located within the heatshield body. The mounting arrangement is separate from the heatshield body for mounting the heatshield body to the barrel of a firearm in a continuous spaced relationship therefrom without damaging the barrel. With the heatshield body constructed of a metal material, the mounting arrangement is particularly constructed to prevent metal-to-metal contact between the heatshield body and the barrel.

Abstract: A firearm assembly includes a shoulder stock assembly having a hinge arrangement including a first hinge portion mounted within a rear portion of a firearm assembly, and a second hinge portion mounted within the shoulder stock assembly. The shoulder stock assembly and the rear portion of the firearm assembly are movable into and out of locking alignment with one another. A translation linkage is located between the first and second hinge portions for permitting the first and second hinge portions to move into and out of spaced apart alignment with one another. The hinge portions and the translation linkage are substantially concealed from view when the shoulder stock assembly and the rear portion of the firearm assembly are moved into locking alignment with one another.

Abstract: A retractable bipod assembly includes a pair of leg assemblies adapted to support a firearm during shooting thereof. A housing is adapted to be secured on a front portion of the firearm for pivotally mounting the leg assemblies between a folded up, storage position and a folded down, support position. A coupling arrangement is provided between the leg assemblies wherein the leg assemblies are in direct driving engagement and continuous contact with one another enabling pivotal movement of one of the leg assemblies to automatically cause simultaneous pivotal movement of the other of the leg assemblies.

The grip body and grip insert are slidably engaged together by means of a dovetail arrangement and secured together thereafter by a means of a fastening structure.
