    Abstract: A heavy-lift UAV frame includes a central frame portion and a pocket area for receiving an avionics package. Top and bottom plates are secured to the central frame portion and include four corner members that extend diagonally outward therefrom. A plurality of boom hinges are interposed between each of the corner members pivot a boom arm between an extended position for flight and a retracted position for storage and transport. Each boom arm and hinge combination includes a complementary dimension to one side of the central frame portion to position a boom arm parallel thereto when in the retracted position. A plurality of landing gear hinges are positioned along the bottom of the frame and transition a plurality of landing gear legs between a ready for flight position and a storage position. In the storage position each of the legs are positioned diagonally beneath the central frame portion.

A panel-pallet vehicle is hitched to the lift-and-place vehicle, extends under the panel-loading space, and has a pallet carrier adjacent to the panel-loading space.

    Abstract: A landing system for a heavy-lift unmanned aerial vehicle includes an elongated main body that is constructed from a rigid material. The main body includes a central aperture and plurality of connectors for engaging complementary connectors located on the bottom of an unmanned aerial vehicle. A pair of landing units that are positioned along two sides of the main body via connection assemblies which transition the landing units between an extended and retracted orientation. A pair of electromechanical actuators are positioned along the main body at locations adjacent to the landing units. The actuators can include linear motors that are offset from the landing unit connection assemblies. The actuators are coupled to the control and power units of an attached unmanned aerial vehicle.

    Abstract: A modular sprayer system for use with heavy-lift unmanned aerial vehicles includes a liquid storage tank for receiving and storing any type of agricultural products. A mounting unit is located along the top of the tank and includes hardware for securing the system to a UAV. Skid-type landing gear is permanently secured to the outside of the tank, and an electric pump is disposed within the tank. The location of the pump dampens movement of fluid within the tank during flight. One or more elongated booms are in fluid communication with the pump and terminate into dispensing units having one or more nozzles for releasing the fluid. A control unit is in electrical communication with one or both of the UAV to which the system is secured and a system operator. A tank level sensor and imaging systems are communicatively linked with the control unit.

    Abstract: A trapeze bar assembly provides an elongated support member that can be removably coupled with first and second coupling mechanisms. The coupling mechanisms can couple the support member to flexible suspension members to suspend the support member in the air. The coupling mechanisms also each include a frame member with an opening that receives one end of the support member. Retention features on the support bar and the frame member can removably retain the end of the support bar within the frame member. The support member can also be rotatably fixed relative to the frame members via cooperating engagement features. A trapeze system is also provided including a support member, coupling mechanisms, and first and second flexible suspension members for suspending the support member. A method for assembling a trapeze apparatus is also provided.
