Publication number: 20250179993Abstract: The disclosure relates to the methods and devices for wind turbine blade mechanical de-icing. The proposed method for de-icing of a wind turbine blade, includes the steps of positioning a wind turbine blade in a substantially horizontal position; pulling a line one over the wind turbine blade; and pulling both ends of the line one sideways parallel to the wind turbine blade. The line one can be provided with a line two attached to it and the method may further include the step of pulling up a joint connecting the lines one and two to the leading edge and using the line one to slide the joint position over the leading edge of the blade. According to an embodiment an elastic sliding plate configured to prevent line entanglement may be attached at the line one and two joint position.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 2, 2023Publication date: June 5, 2025Applicant: AERONES, Inc.Inventor: Janis PUTRAMS

Publication number: 20250102575Abstract: An electronic device for integrated monitoring of a wind turbine is described. This electronic device may selectively electrically couple to a lightning-protection system, which is included within a wind-turbine blade or wing. For example, the electronic device may establish the electrical coupling when the wind-turbine blade is orientated below a horizontal direction (such as an orientation having an angle between 180° and 360°). Then, the electronic device may characterize the wind-turbine blade using time-domain reflectometry. More generally, the electronic device may characterize the wind-turbine blade using a wide variety of measurements, such as: pressure, humidity, acoustic, vibration, etc. Moreover, measurement results may be communication from the electronic device to a remote computer (such as a cloud-based computer system) for analysis.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 10, 2023Publication date: March 27, 2025Applicant: AERONES INC.Inventor: Janis PUTRAMS

Publication number: 20250035088Abstract: A semi- or fully automated maintenance device for use with a wind turbine is described. The maintenance device includes a base that is removably coupled to a tower of the wind turbine. This base may be vertically displaced along a vertical direction of the tower. Moreover, the maintenance device may include a telescopic arm in a horizontal direction relative to the vertical direction. This telescopic arm may provide a selectable and dynamic displacement of a distal end of the telescopic arm relative to a vertical axis of the tower. Furthermore, the maintenance device may include a maintenance arm coupled to the distal end of the telescopic arm. During operation, while the maintenance device is moved in the vertical direction and the telescopic arm dynamically adjusts the horizontal displacement, the maintenance arm may perform maintenance, such as inspection, cleaning, repair, of a given wing or blade of the wind turbine.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 1, 2022Publication date: January 30, 2025Applicant: AERONES, IncInventor: Janis PUTRAMS

Arrangement for lowering and raising service tools used for wind turbine blade and tower maintenance
Patent number: 12188453Abstract: An offshore wind turbine blade and tower maintenance devices and systems, more particularly, to the system for service tools positioning relative to the offshore wind turbine blade and tower. An arrangement for lowering and raising service tools used for offshore wind turbine blade and tower maintenance, having: a truss system, a rigging and a rigging pulling in and letting out means. The truss system, includes booms, pivotally attached to a supporting means, which are adapted to be leaned against or releasably fixed to a wind turbine tower or wind turbine tower mooring elements; wherein the rigging and a rigging pulling in and letting out means are operably connected with the truss system, so to allow lowering and raising service tools used for offshore wind turbine blade and tower maintenance.Type: GrantFiled: April 2, 2020Date of Patent: January 7, 2025Assignee: AERONES, INC.Inventor: Janis Putrams -
Patent number: 12073547Abstract: A rotating wind turbine blade optical inspection devices and systems. The system for inspection, having: a camera; a rotatable device designed to controllably rotate camera along axis, not camera's lens axis of rotational symmetry; a laser distance sensor or a dynamic vision sensor and a computer system; the camera, the rotatable device and the laser distance sensor or the dynamic vision sensor operably connected with the computer system; wherein the camera is adapted to be mounted on the rotatable device; the distance or the vision sensors' optical axis is directed at a set distance from the camera's optical axis; wherein the computer system: (i) to receives a signal from the distance or vision sensors; (ii) to determines camera's activation time based on the signal from the distance sensor or vision sensors and a pre-set adjustable delay time; (iii) to activate the camera acquiring an image of a blade area inspected.Type: GrantFiled: September 9, 2022Date of Patent: August 27, 2024Assignee: AERONES, INC.Inventor: Janis Putrams
