Publication number: 20250241472Abstract: A portable assembly for making beverages comprising: a beverage filter press, a tumbler configured to receive the beverage filter press securely therein, and a lid configured to securely attach to the tumbler for travel use. The beverage filter press can include features, such as tabs, which engage an underside of the lid to secure the assembly together by a friction-fit. The portable assembly can further include a collapsible stirrer and a magnetic lid. The lid can include a movable tab including a first magnet, and a body including a second magnet, a third magnet, and an opening. The first magnet is configured to couple to the second magnet to maintain the movable tab in a closed position, and the first magnet configured to couple to the third magnet to maintain the movable tab in an open position.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 27, 2025Publication date: July 31, 2025Applicant: AeroPress, Inc.Inventors: Matthew Brown, Dale Woiken, Edmund Lee

Publication number: 20240349932Abstract: A beverage filtering press, preferably for pressing coffee beverages, includes a hollow cylinder, a removable filter cap, a removable piston that is inserted in the cylinder and pressed downward to force beverage through the filter cap, and a support to hold the press above the mouth of an open vessel. Oversized filtering presses for dispensing multiple serving of beverage are provided. Beverage presses are provided that include a hollow cylinder and piston both formed of plastic, including a clear plastic. Alternatively, beverage presses are provided that include a cylinder formed of glass and a piston formed of metal, such as stainless steel or aluminum. The support and filter cap can also be formed of plastic or a metal, such as stainless steel or aluminum. A carafe specially shaped to correspond to the support can be used. Organizer holder stands that accommodate various beverage presses are also provided.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 22, 2024Publication date: October 24, 2024Applicant: AeroPress, Inc.Inventors: Matthew Brown, Dale Woiken, Edmund Lee

Patent number: 12053114Abstract: A beverage cap with pressure-activate valve for use with a beverage filter press having a hollow cylinder and removable piston that when pressed downward forces liquid through the cylinder and beverage cap into an open vessel. The beverage cap includes a plurality of protrusions that are discontinuous and distributed through the cavity of the cap so as to improve filter support and distribute pressure more uniformly through the cavity and along the filter, thereby allowing use of thin paper filters and avoiding tearing or blow out. The beverage cap can include a removable valve insert that includes a valve body supporting a movable vale and one or more support members that further support the filter at a central valve region, further reinforcing the filter to avoid blow out of paper filters. The beverage cap and beverage cap are suited for pressing of tea or coffee beverages, especially espresso.Type: GrantFiled: January 20, 2023Date of Patent: August 6, 2024Assignee: AeroPress, Inc.Inventors: Matthew Brown, Dale Woiken, Edmund Lee

Patent number: 10071319Abstract: An Euler disc comprises a metal disc body having a maximum radius, an upper surface, a lower surface, a circular polished rounded edge joining the upper surface and the lower surface, and a maximum thickness. The upper surface is formed so that the cross-sectional area of the disc body that is above a horizontal bisector line and outside of a vertical quarter line drawn at one half of the maximum radius is less than 75% of the cross-sectional area of the disc body that is below the horizontal bisector line and outside of the vertical quarter line.Type: GrantFiled: June 27, 2014Date of Patent: September 11, 2018Assignee: AEROPRESS, INC.Inventor: Alan J.
