Patents Assigned to Aesculap-Werke AG
  • Patent number: 4948566
Abstract: The invention relates to a sterilizing system for sterilizing containers. In accordance with the invention, an external actuating element is provided in an autoclave chamber structure to hold special closure elements and/or the container lid in an open position and to bring them into a closed position before the autoclave is opened.

  • Patent number: 4929239
Abstract: For the purpose of loading the magazine of a scalp clip applicator with C-shaped scalp clips, a feed container is provided for accommodating a row of scalp clips and an insert means is arranged on the magazine for connecting the feed container with the magazine such that the scalp clips can be transferred one after the other from the feed container into the magazine.

  • Patent number: 4854317
Abstract: In an applicator for C-shaped scalp clips with applying instruments in the form of a movable edge and a stationary edge and with a retaining element for the scalp clips, the moved edge can be brought closer still to the stationary edge while the retaining element is fixed in its open position. When the direction of motion is reversed, the movable edge immediately takes the retaining element back with it into its locking position. The movable edge is thus coupled with the pivotable retaining element by a slip coupling.

  • Patent number: 4820499
Abstract: To eliminate the necessity for additional seals or indicator tapes in a closure for a sterilizing container comprising a bottom part and a lid, with a pivotable locking bar which in a closed position fixes the lid in the closed position on the bottom part and in an open position releases the lid for removal from the bottom part, and with a safety closure for the locking bar which is damaged when the locking bar is pivoted from the closed position to the open position, the safety closure includes (i) a data carrier card which can be pushed into or put into a holding device on the locking bar, on the lid, or on the bottom part, (ii) a securing member to prevent removal of the data carrier card from the holding device when the locking bar is in the closed state, and (iii) a marking element to penetrate the data carrier card secured in the holding device during pivotal motion of the locking bar from the closed position to the open position.

  • Patent number: 4818502
Abstract: A sterilizer having a bottom part and a lid with a pair of pivotable closure bars mounted on the lid and adapted to be moved between a closed position and an open position. In the closed position, the closure bar coacts with a detent to fix the lid to the bottom part. The free end of the closure bar is angled outwardly for ease of grasping the bar. A stop is provided which defines the open position of the closure bar. When in its open position, the closure bar is generally parallel to the top of the lid and is adapted to be used as a carrying handle for the lid.

  • Patent number: 4796778
Abstract: In a locking mechanism, in particular, for fixing filter holders on sterilizing containers, with a housing in which a locking member is displaceable between two end positions, namely a first end position in which it engages behind a locking projection, and a second end position in which it releases the locking projection, with a spring means which biases the locking member in the direction towards the first end position, and with an actuating member protruding from the housing for displacement of the locking member, in order to ensure that unlocking does not occur if the actuating member is unintentionally actuated, it is suggested that a second actuating member be provided and that the actuating members be arranged on the housing on opposite sides thereof and be actuatable by displacement in the direction towards the respective other actuating member, the locking mechanism only being unlockable if both actuating members are actuated.

  • Patent number: 4693251
Abstract: The clip consists of two separate branches, the facing surfaces of which have profiles which allow the pressure effecting occlusion of the oviduct or vas deferens to be generated only in two separate pressure zones while a cavity is formed as nutrition zone between the two pressure zones to relieve the oviduct or vas deferens of pressure and enable its tissue to be nourished. The branches are connected with one another at both ends by detent closure means.

  • Patent number: 4612932
Abstract: A magazine for receiving C-shaped scalp clips having legs connected by a bridge and with facing clamping jaws at their free ends. In order to improve positioning of the scalp clips during displacement along the magazine, the scalp clips are arranged one behind the other in the magazine such that the free ends of one scalp clip rest against the bridge of the adjacent scalp clip, the scalp clips have laterally open recesses in their bridges or the regions where legs and bridge meet and the magazine has guide rails extending along its length and engaging in these recesses.

  • Patent number: 4611585
Abstract: In a motor-driven cutter for the cutting open of plaster casts with a motor housing, a fixed center blade and two oscillatingly motor-driven blades disposed either side of the fixed blade and both interacting with said fixed blade and moving the cutter forward along the cut, in order to prevent unitentional contacting of the blades, it is proposed that a cover hood be displaceably mounted on the motor housing and be displaced by a flexible force storage means into a position covering the three blades whereby the cover hood exhibits glide-on surfaces which, as the cutter is pushed forward, glide on the plaster, thereby displacing the cover hood against the action of the flexible force storage means into a position exposing the blades.

  • Patent number: 4569505
Abstract: In order to simplify production of clip removing forceps used to bend open skin clips, it is suggested that one of the two branch elements encircles the other in the shape of a U in the region of pivotal connection, that one of the two branch elements bears on its side walls facing the other branch element projections arranged at the axis of rotation, that the other branch element has circular recesses to accommodate these projections, that the projections have a circular cross section corresponding to that of the recesses, whereby two opposite side faces of these projections are flattened, and that a groove runs from the circular recess to the edge of the other branch element, the width of this groove corresponding at least to the distance between the flattened sides of the projections but being smaller than the diameter of the circular recess and this groove being aligned such that, in the operating position of the two branch elements, the curved side portions of the projections rest at least partially on c

  • Patent number: 4484581
Abstract: In order to improve the guidance of the arms of an aneurysm clip having two arms crossing each other and pivotably connected and also having a guide means in the area where the two arms cross it is suggested that one arm has a recess in the area where the arms cross, said recess corresponding to the width of the other arm, and that the guide means bridges this recess and is joined to the first arm by spot-welding on either side of the recess.
