Abstract: A cooling system, such as a cooling vest, includes a cooling panel having a cooling panel body having a front wall, a rear wall, and an interior space between the front wall and the rear wall. A cooling member is positionable within the interior space of the cooling panel body, such as by being removably insertable thereinto. The cooling panel includes a conduction surface adapted to directly or indirectly contact an individual, such as a wearer, wherein the conduction surface is cooled by the cooling member in the interior space. Optionally, a fan can blow air chilled by the cooling member towards the individual so the individual can also experience convection cooling.
