Abstract: A building element for a semi-permanent and relocatable structure includes: (a) a member having a rectangular, cross-sectional shape, that encloses an interior portion which has open ends that include cornering portions, (b) a pair of flanges, one of which extends outwardly from each of the member's top corners, (c) a pair of member cavities, each extending between the member's open ends and being located proximate an interior, bottom corner and having an opening that provides access to the cavity, (d) a 90-degree, mitered bracket, with fasteners, configured to fit into the open end of a member cavities and join two members on their ends at a right angle, and (e) a detent formed in each of cavity and configured to provide a locking mechanism for the free end of the fastener.
Abstract: A connection device for assembling together a receiver first section member presenting an inner cavity, and a fastener second section member presenting a groove having a constricted opening. The connection device includes a cage forming a pair of jaws for coming into engagement in the groove. The device also including a resilient drive mechanism for urging a spacer member between the jaws so as to space them apart in such a manner as to come into engagement with the groove through the constricted opening; and a pivotable lever that pivots about a pivot pin, the pivotable lever including a lever arm and a thrust head that engages the spacer member so as to move it against the force exerted by the resilient drive mechanism on the spacer member.
