Abstract: An arrangement (10) for separating debris (2) and crops (1) from a collection of objects (5) is presented. The arrangement (10) comprising a first debris separating device (200) and a second debris separating device (300, 400) arranged, in a feeding flow (F) of the arrangement (10). The first debris separating device (200) comprises a receiving end (220) for receiving the collection of objects (5), an output end (230) arranged vertically below the receiving end (220) for providing objects (5) downstream in a feeding flow (F) of the first debris separating device (200), a driven closed loop carrier medium (210) arranged between the receiving end and the output end (230), wherein the driven closed loop carrier medium (210) is provided with one or more openings (212) adapted to permit crops (1) to pass there through and the driven closed loop carrier medium (210) is arranged to provide objects (5) passing there through to the output end (230) of the first debris separating device (200).

Abstract: In a method and a device for assortment of objects a broadbanded light is emitted from a light source, which light is reflected via a rotary mirror against the objects falling freely immediately after they have left a conveyor belt. The reflected light is led via the other part of the same surface of the rotary mirror to an optical unit and is reflected against a double detector dividing the light flow into two wide ranges about 1 .mu.m. The detector signals are compared to one another and after processing the resulting signal is caused to actuate means separating the objects mechanically.
