Patent number: 11796579Abstract: An electromagnetic sensor for use in a variety of applications requiring extremely high sensitivity, such as measuring power and characteristics of incident electromagnetic radiation includes a superconducting layer that carries an exchange field for providing a spin splitting effect of charge carriers in the superconducting layer, a metal electrode, and an insulating layer arranged between the superconducting layer and metal electrode to form a spin filter junction therebetween. The electromagnetic sensor provides an antenna including a wave collecting element, in contact with the superconducting layer to convey thereinto external electromagnetic waves that are generated by an external source.Type: GrantFiled: September 25, 2018Date of Patent: October 24, 2023Assignees: UNIVERSIDAD DEL PAIS VASCO/EUSKAL HERRIKO UNIBERTSITATEA, AGENCIA ESTATAL CONSEJO SUPERIOR DE INVESTIGACIONES CIENTÍFICAS, UNIVERSITY OF JYVÄSKYLÄInventors: Fernando Sebastian Bergeret Sbarbaro, Francesco Giazotto, Tero Heikkilä, Ilari Maasilta

Publication number: 20230241365Abstract: A wearable device for transdermal product supply comprises a head, which houses two ultrasonic resonators in resonance, with an outer cavity. A first, more distal resonator emits towards the skin at a first frequency and a second, more proximal resonator surrounds the cavity and emits parallel to the skin at a second frequency. One frequency is high-frequency sonophoresis (HFS) and the other is low-frequency sonophoresis (LFS). The second resonator comprises a hole in order to enable the waves from the first resonator to pass through. The waves from the second resonator pass through the head, the hole and the cavity, bouncing off an opposite area of the head and interfering with the waves from the first resonator. The interference between the waves creates a stationary field which increases the permeability of the skin, enabling a device with a reduced size to be incorporated into a wearable.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 12, 2021Publication date: August 3, 2023Applicants: Medicsensors Limited, Agencia Estatal Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cientificas, M.P.Inventors: Eduardo Walther Jorgensen de Vizacarrondo, Jose Carlos Montesinos Perez, Juan Cesar de Mercado Santamarta, Francisco Ramon Montero de Espinosa Freijo
