  • Patent number: 9757079
Abstract: A method controls for a planned radiographic exposure the spatial position of a portable digital direct x-ray detector in a medical imaging system including multiple radiographic exposure stands. The method includes creating a three-dimensional spatial model of the medical imaging system, determining within the model the spatial position of the detector based on input received from three gravity sensors installed thereon, determining a three-dimensional volume space for each radiographic exposure stand, and checking whether the spatial position of the detector fits within the three-dimensional volume space of the radiographic exposure stand.

  • Publication number: 20170221232
Abstract: A computerized tomographic image exposure and reconstruction method wherein an object is subjected to irradiation during a relative movement of a source of radiation, saidthe object, and a radiation detector and wherein a digital representation of the radiation image of saidthe object is computed by applying a tomographic reconstruction algorithm to image data read out of the irradiated radiation detector. A number of projection images are generated, each of saidthe projection images being generated by integrating X-ray beams continuously emitted during saidthe relative movement through a predefined movement path, and the created projection images are modeled in a tomographic reconstruction algorithm.

  • Patent number: 9721329
Abstract: A multi-scale detail representation of an image is computed as a weighted sum of translation difference images. A denoising operator is applied to the translation difference images so that translation differences are modified as a function of an estimated local signal-to-noise ratio and at least one denoised center difference image at a specific scale is computed by combining denoised translation difference images at scale s or a finer scale. A denoised image is computed by applying a reconstruction algorithm to the denoised center difference images.
