Abstract: A system and a method for cleaning a printhead by providing from a first slit a laminar flow of cleaning fluid that flows through a pretensioned brush for brushing the nozzle plate and collecting debris. The cleaning fluid with the debris is drained by a first slit having a first under pressure and next by a second slit that has a second under pressure that is greater than the first under pressure.
Abstract: A solution space is computed and stored which comprises for a given set of constraints all possible solutions for all available resources of a certain kind. Upon selection of a specific resource, the solution space is filtered to select all possible combinations containing the specific resource and the result of the filtering is displayed.

Abstract: A relief print master, such as a flexographic print master or sleeve is created by printing a sequence of intermediate layers on top of each other with an inkjet printing system. The top layer corresponds with the halftoned image that is to be printed by the print master and the lower intermediate layers are supporting layers. The pixels of the intermediate layers that are stacked on top of each other are printed with different nozzles to reduce image quality artifacts. Both a method and a system are described.

The radiation curable liquid applied to a substrate prevents migration of very low viscous monomers, such as vinyl ether acrylate monomers, into the substrate.
Abstract: A security document having in order a) a first laser markable layer, present as a self-supporting layer or as a layer on a support; b) at least one polymeric overlay; and c) a second laser markable layer; wherein the second laser markable layer exhibits a higher laser sensitivity than a non-laser marked area of the first laser markable layer but produces a smaller maximum optical density or a smaller gloss on laser marking. Methods for manufacturing the security document are also disclosed.
Abstract: A device and a corresponding system for reading X-ray information stored in a storage phosphor plate includes a reading device for irradiating the storage phosphor plate with stimulation light and for detecting emission light stimulated in the storage phosphor plate, and a conveyance device for conveying the storage phosphor plate including at least one roller that can be put into rotation about its rotational axis. In order to guarantee, with a simple structure, the most reliable possible transport of the storage phosphor plate, one or more magnets, more particularly permanent magnets, are arranged in the interior of the cylinder which is formed as a hollow body, more particularly a hollow cylinder.
Abstract: A method of making a lithographic printing plate including the steps of a) image-wise exposing a lithographic printing plate precursor including a light or heat sensitive coating on a support having a hydrophilic surface or which is provided with a hydrophilic layer, and b) processing the precursor consecutively with a first solution and a second solution thereby removing the coating from the support in the non-printing areas. The first and second solutions are provided by a cascade system such that the second solution overflows into the first solution and the first solution overflows into a container to be further treated as waste, and the second solution is regenerated by adding a replenishing solution or a mixture of replenishing solutions at a rate of at least 5 ml/m2 of treated precursor and at most 30 ml/m2 of treated precursor.

Abstract: A computer implemented method of performing at least one document consumer query using a processor and a memory coupled to the processor, said method comprising the steps of: receiving at least one query for at least one clinical documents in a first query language from at least one document consumer; translating the query into a second query language to obtain a translated query; conducting the translated query in at least one database compatible with the second query language by the processor to obtain a first result; and providing the obtained first result to the document consumer.
