  • Publication number: 20090255816
Abstract: An electrostatic coalescing device including at least one pair of sheet-shaped electrodes arranged at a distance from each other side-by-side. Each one of the electrodes includes a sheet-shaped conductive member of electrically conductive material. The mutual distance between the conductive members of the two electrodes of the pair varies along the electrodes as seen in a direction perpendicular to the intended flow direction of fluid passing through the flow passage between the electrodes. A power supply is configured to apply mutually different electric potentials to the conductive members of the electrodes of the pair so as to form an electric field between the electrodes. The conductive member of one electrode of the pair is planar, whereas the conductive member of the other electrode of the pair is corrugated.

  • Publication number: 20090159534
Abstract: A coalescing apparatus including a casing having an inner chamber for accommodating insulating fluid. At least one tube of electrically insulating material extends through the casing and the chamber. Each tube forms a flow channel for emulsion to be treated. A set of electrodes is mounted in the chamber. The tube is allotted at least one pair of electrodes of the set. A voltage set is configured to apply mutually different electric potentials to the electrodes of each electrode pair so as to form an electric field between them and thereby an electric field inside the respective tube. A heater is configured to heat the insulating fluid so as to allow the insulating fluid to transfer heat to emulsion flowing through at least one tube and thereby raise the temperature of the emulsion. An emulsion treatment system comprising such includes a coalescing apparatus. A coalescing method.

Abstract: A separator apparatus for separating immiscible fluid components of different specific gravities. A body includes an internal flow channel for a mixture of fluid components to be separated. A rotation generating device brings the fluid mixture to rotate about the longitudinal axis of the flow channel. • Publication number: 20080173334
Abstract: A vessel having an implement located in a fluid receiving space inside the vessel. The vessel includes an enclosure for enclosing a closed space around the implement. An actuator actuates the enclosure to and fro between an open position, in which the enclosure does not enclose a closed space around the implement, and a closed position, in which the enclosure forms a fluid tight or at least essentially fluid tight casing that encloses a closed space around the implement so as to prevent fluid in the fluid receiving space outside the closed space from flowing into the closed space. A method for cleaning and/or calibrating an implement located in a fluid receiving space inside such a vessel and a method for removing an implement from or inserting an implement into a fluid receiving space inside a vessel.
