Abstract: Disclosed are means, methods and compositions of matter for treatment of dry eye disease using factors released from placental amniotic tissue when cultured in a liquid media. In one embodiment of the invention amnion is extracted from a hemochorial placenta and cultured in a means to maintain viability of said amnion. Said means in which hemochorial placenta amnion is maintained viable is subsequently used to collect factors which are released by said placental amnion which are useful for treatment of dry eye disease either in unpurified form, in concentrated form, or specific molecular weight fractions derived thereof.

Abstract: The invention discloses means of treating pain through administration of mesenchymal stem cells or derivatives thereof via an intrathecal manner at a concentration and frequency sufficient to reduce pain. In one embodiment of the invention, treatment of discogenic pain is provided by administration of mesenchymal stem cells intrathecally that are derived from the Wharton's Jelly. In another embodiment the invention teaches administration of supernatants from mesenchymal stem cells, in one embodiment said supernatants comprising of concentrated microvesicles.

Abstract: Disclosed are methods and compositions for treatment of acne or acneform conditions, particularly but not limited to, acne vulgaris with products generated from culture of stem or progenitor cells. Specifically, compositions of matter are disclosed which are useful for the treatment of acne and acne associated disease states, in particular acne vulgaris, by topical administration of products derived from stem cells or progenitor cells.
