Patent number: 7147517Abstract: A line tone adapter, including a housing, first and second cable connectors and a line tone generator input port, is employed to interface between a tone generator, having an output connector of a first type, and a cable to be tested, with the cable to be tested having attached thereto a connector of either a second or third type that cannot mate with the output connector of the first type. The line tone generator input port is designed to mate with the output connector of the first type, while the first and second connectors are designed to mate with connectors of the second and third types respectively. Preferably the connector of the first type is an RJ11 plug, with the connectors of the second and third types being male and female coaxial cable connectors.Type: GrantFiled: September 22, 2005Date of Patent: December 12, 2006Assignee: Aines Manufacturing Corp.Inventors: Joseph F. Patent number: 5993237Abstract: A modular telephone plug having an elongated dielectric housing and a clip member attached that is adapted to fit into a standard RJ-type jack. More specifically, one end of the modular plug defines an electrical connector section to which wires from a telephone cord can be attached. For this purpose, the housing includes an internal channel through which the telephone cord can extend. The clip member is secured in a cantilevered manner at an end of the housing remote from the electrical connector section. The housing is also formed with a recess into which extends a free end of the clip member. The modular plug has an associated length of 1.1 to 1.5 inches (approximately 2.8 to 3.8 cm). With this construction, the modular telephone plug can be easily grasped and manipulated.Type: GrantFiled: April 12, 1999Date of Patent: November 30, 1999Assignee: Aines Manufacturing Corp.Inventors: Joseph F. Patent number: 5893771Abstract: A modular telephone plug (110) having an elongated dielectric housing (112) and a clip member (123, 284) attached that is adapted to fit into a standard RJ-type jack. More specifically, one end (114) of the modular plug (110) defines an electrical connector section to which wires from a telephone cord (120) can be attached. For this purpose, the housing (112) includes an internal channel (143) through which the telephone cord (120) can extend. The clip member (123, 284) is secured in a cantilevered manner at an end (116) of the housing (112) remote from the electric connector section. The housing (112) is also formed with a recess (220) into which extends a free end (276, 313, 380) of the clip member (123, 284). The modular plug (110) has an associated length of 1.1 to 1.5 inches (approximately 2.8 to 3.8 cm). With this construction, the modular telephone plug (110) can be easily grasped and manipulated.Type: GrantFiled: July 31, 1997Date of Patent: April 13, 1999Assignee: Aines Manufacturing Corp.Inventors: Joseph F.
