The method comprises, at a point of sale, initiating payment by transmitting a token from a first device to a second device using a speaker associated with a first device, and a microphone associated with the second device; transmitting the token from the second device to a payment server; authenticating the token by the payment server; and upon successful authentication of the token, determining with a payment server whether the authorize of the payment.
