  • Publication number: 20150183675
Abstract: An ion transport membrane, a heat exchanger, and a recuperator are integrated with a float glass manufacturing process. Only feeds of fuel and air are necessary for producing hot oxygen for a melting furnace and a nitrogen-enriched stream to a float bath. The oxygen and nitrogen are produced on-site without requiring cryogenic distillation.

  • Publication number: 20130263969
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and device for filling a tank with pressurized gas, comprising transfer of a predefined amount of a gas into the tank from at least one pressurized gas source via a filling duct, the gas being selectively cooled by a cooling component before it enters into the tank in order to prevent a defined temperature limit from being reached in the tank, characterized in that the method comprises a step of defining the maximum amount of energy that can be added to the tank without exceeding the temperature limit, this maximum amount of energy being expressed in the form of the maximum enthalpy that can be added to the tank, a step of defining the effective amount of energy that will be added to the tank during the transfer of gas into the tank without cooling, expressed in the form of an added enthalpy, cooling of the gas by the cooling component being controlled in order to remove selectively an amount of heat from the gas transferred into the tank corresponding at least to the fractio

  • Publication number: 20130186904
Abstract: A container for storing compressed gas includes a plurality of aligned glass capillaries extending into a tubesheet. Each of the capillaries has an open end flush with a front face of the tubesheet. An end cap having a gas outlet connectable to a compressed gas valve or conduit is fitted to the tubesheet in gas-tight fashion to form a high pressure space defined by inner surfaces of the capillaries, the front face of the tubesheet, and inner surfaces of the end cap.

  • Publication number: 20130118406
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for treating plastic bottles comprising an operation for cold plasma sterilization with non-germicidal gasses and/or an operation for the cold plasma deposition of a diffusion barrier layer, said method being characterized in that said cold plasma delivers adjustable nonthermal energy to the entire inside surface of the bottle, said cold plasma being generated either through a distributed propagation of microwaves having a maximum intensity in the vicinity of said surface or by a hollow cathode system adapted to the bottle and supplied with pulsed DC and/or RF voltage. The invention also relates to the devices for implementing the method.
