  • Patent number: 9126673
Abstract: A flooring system positionable over a base platform in the cabin of a vehicle such as an aircraft. In one embodiment, the flooring system includes one or more flooring panels each having top and bottom portions, where the top portion defines a top surface including an anti-slip tread. Additionally or alternatively, the flooring system may be made up of a plurality of flooring panels that are adapted to meet at respective interface regions so as to limit fluid passage through the interface regions. In one arrangement, one flooring panel may be separated from an adjacent flooring panel to expose a wiring trough underneath the one flooring panel free of separating the adjacent flooring panel from the aircraft base platform.

  • Patent number: 8336939
Abstract: A patient transport litter and system includes a patient support platform interconnected to a foldable frame that may be supported by and rolled upon a first plurality of wheels in an unfolded state. In a folded state, a second plurality of wheels may be provided to support and allow for rollable movement of the patient transport litter. A leading plurality of wheels may be provided at one end of the patient support platform for initially and rolling upon engaging the floor of an emergency transport vehicle during loading of the patient transport litter thereupon. One or more of the plurality of wheels may comprise multi-directional wheels, e.g., to allow for omnidirectional rolling movement. The litter may be selectively lockable in and unlockable from the unfolded state, the fully-folded state, and optionally, one or more partially-folded state(s).

  • Patent number: 6152401
Abstract: An emergency medical system for use in an aircraft. In one embodiment, the system includes a deployable chair and upper and lower support members for supporting the deployable chair, the deployable chair being pivotally interconnected to the upper support member. In the deployed configuration, the deployable chair is releasably interconnectable to the lower support member, which is one of a floor platform of the aircraft and a vertically adjustable litter platform. In the stowed configuration, the deployable chair is releasably interconnectable to an upper portion of the aircraft, such as a ceiling surface to allow patients to be received on at least one vertically adjustable litter platform located there below.
