Abstract: A multi-layer sleeping compartment for an aircraft is provided in order to more comfortable accommodate passengers to recline and sleep. The multilayer compartment houses a plurality of sleeping pods arranged either side of an entrance, and the sleeping compartment is generally aligned with a longitudinal axis of the aircraft. Further the pods may be booked for session times during the normal flight of an aircraft.

Abstract: A row of a plurality of adjacent seats supported by a support frame. The seat includes a seat back, a seat pan and a leg rest. The leg rest of each seat includes a leg support surface and is mounted relative to the seat frame in a manner to allow it to move between (a) a stored condition and (b) a fully deployed condition where the seat pan and the leg rest support surface are substantially coplanar. The leg rest and seat pan of each seat in the row can cooperate to define a reconfigurable horizontal support surface for at least one passenger.

The seating arrangement includes a pair of seats disposed alongside and secured to each other. Each seat comprising a backrest portion, and a seat pan portion, wherein the seats face at an acute angle to each other, and wherein the backrest portions of the respective seats are nearest the vertex of the acute angle than the seat pan portions.

Abstract: A method and system for pricing seats for a flight in which some nominated seats can be made available to passengers, upon request when making a flight reservation, for use as spare seats during the flight, the method comprising: predicting the number of regular seats required to seat the passengers expected on the flight, determining a regular seat price to charge for each of the regular seats, and determining a spare seat price to charge for each nominated seat that can be made available for use as a spare seat, the spare seat price being set as the price of regular seat price for the next available regular seat.

Abstract: A method and airline booking system for converting fare rules into computer code for efficient fare validation and/or for calculation of sundry costs is disclosed. In one embodiment, the method includes converting fare rules into computer code and storing the computer code. The method also includes receiving flight criteria from a user and identifying candidate fares satisfying the flight criteria received from the user. The method further includes retrieving and executing the computer code to determine which of the candidate fares satisfy the fare rules embodied by the computer code.
