Patents Assigned to Air & Refrigeration Corp.
  • Patent number: 5417894
Abstract: An adjustable seal assembly is provided for better sealing along the length of modulator blades used in industrial humidifiers. The assembly comprises a channel that runs parallel with the blades. A seal is attached along the length of the channel and positioned for contact with a blade in the closed position. A threaded rod has one end attached to a midpoint along the channel and the other end threaded through a part of the frame of the bypass section such that rotating the threaded rod bows the channel so that the seal attached to the channel can be bowed to match any bow that may be in the blade.

  • Patent number: 5408838
Abstract: A method and apparatus for conditioning the temperature and humidity of unrecycled ambient air within a certain climatic window of parameters to a desired point within a certain conditioned window of parameters is provided that comprise directing part of the ambient air through a cooling coil and humidifier connected in series and directing the other part of the ambient air through a bypass duct and recombining the bypass air with the conditioned air to create an air stream at the desired temperature and humidity. The air passing through the cooling coil and humidifier is overcooled and then brought to the desired condition upon combination with the bypass air.

  • Patent number: 4321797
Abstract: A waste heat recovery system for use with refrigeration means and a hot water reservoir is disclosed. The system is intended for use with refrigeration means of the type including a compressor and a condenser through which a compressible refrigerant is circulated. The system includes a heat exchanger having a refrigerant passage and a water passage mutually coupled in heat exchange relation. A heat exchange circulation conduit connects the water passage of the heat exchanger in fluid communication with the hot water reservoir to permit water to be circulated from the reservoir to the heat exchanger and return. A precharged refrigerant conduit connects the outlet port of the compressor in fluid communication with the condenser and includes a pair of bypass conduit sections terminated by quick connect/disconnect coupling members for connection to the refrigerant passage of the heat exchanger.

A fluid flow restrictor is connected in series fluid circuit relation intermediate the compressor discharge outlet and the condenser for producing a pressure differential. The refrigerant passage of the heat exchanger is connected in parallel fluid circuit relation with the fluid flow restrictor.
