  • Patent number: 10962029
Abstract: A reservoir for a hydraulic system has a housing with an interior space and a fluid outlet, a hydraulic driving device coupled to a shaft extending in the housing to introduce a torque, and a separating device in the housing, for dividing the interior space into two separate sections. The fluid outlet is fluidically connected to a first section. The separating device extends along the shaft in the housing and sets the size ratio of the two separate sections by pivoting at least one first surface, coupled to the shaft, of the separating device about an axis defined by the shaft. The separating device is coupled to the hydraulic driving device such that the at least one first surface exerts a pressure on a fluid in the first section which is dependent on a surface area of the first surface and the torque.

  • Patent number: 10965816
Abstract: In a method for testing an audio communication system of an aircraft, it is detected whether a jack plug of a headset is plugged into a jack of the audio communication system. Subject to the condition that no jack plug is detected, an electrical connection is made between an audio output of the jack and a microphone input of the jack by means of a test bridge circuit provided for at the jack. Furthermore, a test input signal is applied to an audio input connected to the audio output of the jack, and a test output signal is tapped off at a microphone output connected to the microphone input of the jack. The test output signal is used to ascertain a functional state of the audio communication system. Furthermore, an aircraft having an audio communication system is described.

  • Patent number: 10962075
Abstract: To increase a compactness of damping systems intended to operate in the event of a dynamic landing of an aircraft, a damping system comprises a primary damper device and a secondary damper device. The primary damper device comprises at least one beam, each beam extending along a direction of a longitudinal axis. The damping system is configured so that at rest, the primary damper device has a stiffness greater than a stiffness of the secondary damper device in the direction of the longitudinal axis. When a force is applied to the damping system along the direction of the longitudinal axis, with a value less than a limit value, each beam remains in a compression state. When the force applied has a value greater than or equal to the limit value, each beam undergoes buckling and the secondary damper device undergoes elastic deformation.

  • Patent number: 10940942
Abstract: A method of engaging a drive system with a rotating wheel of an aircraft landing gear is disclosed. A motor is operated to apply torque to a pinion so the pinion rotates and moved from a neutral position to a contact position in which it contacts a rotating driven gear at an initial contact time, the rotating driven gear being mounted to a rotating wheel of an aircraft landing gear. After the initial contact time the pinion is moved further to a meshing position where the pinion meshes with the driven gear. A centre-to-centre distance between the pinion and the driven gear reduces as the pinion moves to the contact position and to the meshing position. The driven gear contacts the pinion in a series of impacts as the pinion moves from the contact position to the meshing position, each impact induces a spike in electromotive force or angular velocity at the motor.
