Patents Assigned to Airheart Products, Inc.
  • Patent number: 4159754
Abstract: A braking assembly includes a carrier for a hydraulically actuated braking piston; a shaft movable axially to also displace the piston, a rotary actuator member, and a coupling responsive to rotation of the rotary member to effect advancement of the shaft toward the piston, accompanied by gripping of the shaft.

  • Patent number: 4120386
Abstract: A braking disc is split into two arc-shaped body sections each having opposite faces for engagement with brake pads; an elongated fastener and a guide pin are located in the space between such faces for releasably guiding and retaining the sections in assembled relation, and thickened ribs and associated bosses with sub-ribs thereon provide parallel bores to receive the fastener and pin, enabling quick disassembly of the sections.

  • Patent number: 4102440
Abstract: A disc brake assembly comprising a frame including a caliper and brake pads carried thereby in laterally spaced relation to receive a disc therebetween. An actuator including first and second plunger members located for relative lateral displacement to effect displacement of the pads relatively toward one another, thereby to brake the disc and a lever extending between the plunger members with one of the members having a convex nose received in a first wedging bearing formed in the lever. The lever being pivotably mounted about a pivot on the frame for wedging movement between the members to shift and effect relative displacement of the members to brake the disc.

  • Patent number: 4061206
Abstract: A brake for a motorcycle or bicycle, of the type having a frame and a disc rotatable with a wheel, comprises:A. a housing having a fork defining a slot to receive a wheel axle bolt, and a connection to the frame, the housing configured to embrace a portion of the disc,B. brake pad means located within the housing to laterally engage the disc,C. a carrier and first ramp means on the carrier and supporting the brake pad means, the carrier being longitudinally movable and laterally resiliently flexible, within the housing,D. second ramp means on the housing and presented generally toward the first ramp means, andE. roller means located between the first and second ramp means to rollably urge the first ramp means and brake pad means laterally toward the disc, with accompanying resilient flexing of the carrier, in response to bodily movement of the carrier and first ramp means in one longitudinal direction.
