  • Patent number: 4548099
Abstract: The transmission comprises a hydraulic power transmission device, a V-belt stepless shifter and a planetary gear train. At restart time when the vehicle is at rest with the V-belt stepless shifter in high gear, the hydraulic power transmission device is operated to shift for providing a relatively high torque ratio, rather than the V-belt stepless shifter. A smooth restart is thus made possible. In addition, the planetary gear train permits the shifter smoothly to switch between forward and reverse. Both features meet the transmission needs of all vehicles.

  • Patent number: 4366705
Abstract: A throttle opening detector for internal combustion engine is composed of a slide contact device which has first and second contacts with potential periodically varying in pulse form corresponding to throttle opening variation, phase difference of pulses beteeen said first and second contacts being a fourth of the period, and of a throttle opening reading device which reads out throttle opening from the potential variation in the first and second contacts and variations of exclusive-OR of potential signals in both contacts. The throttle opening detector enables to detect throttle opening precisely using a cheap micro-computer in 2 bits and to carry out the initial adjustment automatically.

  • Patent number: 4347763
Abstract: A one-way brake having end bearings the support wall of each of which is protruded at the inner race side portion thereof in the outward direction with respect to a space between inner and outer races from that surface of the support wall which is contacted by a support means connected to the outer race, to thereby increase the area of that portion of the inner race which is in sliding contact with an inner rib of the support wall. Accordingly, the wear resistance and stiffness of the end bearings can be increased without increasing an attaching space.
