Abstract: In a ubiquitous sensor network (USN) system having a router and a sensor node connectable to a detachable memory device, a sensor network configuration information including a sensor network identification is received from the detachable memory device under control of the router. The sensor network configuration information including the sensor network identification is received from the detachable memory device under control of the sensor node. A sensor network is configured based on the sensor network identification under control of at least one of the router and the sensor node. Accordingly, the USN system may be automatically configured by using the detachable memory devices including the sensor network configuration information.

Abstract: The present invention provides a flash memory controller for mapping the logical addresses to the physical addresses of memory including a plurality of blocks, each having a plurality of pages, wherein the memory controller includes a processor. The processor includes hot page decision unit and an address translation unit. The hot page decision unit classifies pages in each block into hot pages and cold pages based on a predetermined criterion. When there is a plurality of the classified hot pages, the address translation unit respectively arranges the classified hot pages in different target blocks. In accordance with this configuration, upon performing a merge operation, hot pages and cold pages are determined, and the hot pages are respectively distributed to empty blocks, so that concentration of an erase operation on a specific physical block may be avoided, thus wear-leveling may be performed more efficiently.

Abstract: Provided is a multi-route routing scheme that supports Quality of Service (QoS) in the wireless mesh network. A method of notifying about and avoiding congestion situation in data transmission in a wireless mesh network and a mesh node may also be provided. Data may be differentially transmitted to multiple routes by obtaining a route congestion level existing in a current multi-hop route and thus, data providing a real-time service, such as a video streaming service, may avoid congested routes and may be promptly transmitted. Multiple queues in a mesh node may be divided into divided queues based on a congestion situation of a transmission route in a network and the divided queues may be transmitted through multiple routes and thus, an efficiency of the overall network may increase.

Abstract: Provided are a method for dual-color imaging of sodium/calcium activities using a two-photon fluorescent probe and a method for preparing the two-photon fluorescent probe. The disclosed two-photon fluorescent probe for detecting calcium ions near the cell membrane reacts with calcium cations to exhibit strong two-photon fluorescence and may be selectively and easily loaded into the cell membrane by forming a complex with a calcium ion. Further, it allows imaging of the distribution of calcium cations in a living cell or tissue since it can selectively detect calcium ions in the living cell or tissue at a depth of 100 to 200 ?m for more than 60 minutes. In addition, by staining the living cell or tissue with two probes of different fluorescent colors, the calcium and sodium activities can be imaged simultaneously at different channels.

Abstract: A method is provided for immobilizing a bioactive molecule onto a surface using polyphenol oxidase. In the presence of polyphenol oxidase, a bioactive molecule containing a phenol or catechol group can be simply in situ oxidized within a short time to dopa or dopaquinone which forms a coordinate bond with a metal or polymer substrate, thus immobilizing the bioactive molecule onto the surface with stability. Based on the surface immobilization of bioactive molecules using polyphenol oxidase, various bioactive molecules such as osteogenetic peptides and growth factors can be simply immobilized to medical metal or polymer substrate surfaces such as orthopedic or dental implants which can be then effectively used to induce rapid osteogenesis after being transplanted. Also, antithrombotic agents and/or entothelialization inducing agents may be immobilized to medical substrates for vascular systems, such as stents and artificial blood vessels, thus guaranteeing hemocompatibility to the medical substrates.
