    Abstract: The present invention relates to an insert comprising a tubular plastic body having a hollow, axially extending threaded interior, and a plurality substantially parallel ribs extending radially outward from the plastic body and along the majority of the length of the insert. The insert is capable of threadable engagement with a threaded fastener, such as a crew, to attach a base to a component.
