Abstract: By rotating a regulating bolt about an axis thereof to move forward/backward with respect to a protrusion portion, a lever is rotated about a shaft portion of an adjusting member. Therefore, the shaft portion of an adjusting member is rotated together with the lever to adjust a gap formed between a disk and a piston. After the gap is adjusted, the regulating bolt is fastened owing to a lock nut and a screw hole of the protrusion portion to thereby fix an forward/backward position of the regulating bolt with respect to the protrusion portion. In addition, a fixing bolt is screwed into a screw hole of a second housing portion to thereby fix a rotational position of the lever. Accordingly, the rotational position of the lever is double-locked.

  • Patent number: 7233872
Abstract: The error of a sensor in motion capture system is corrected. An acceleration sensor determines the direction of gravity (G1) in a still initial state. The direction G1 will never change always if a drift dose not occur. However, actually if an object to which an acceleration sensor is attached moves along a coordinate axis, the direction gradually changes due to a drift with time. According to the invention, after a given time has passed, the acceleration sensor is stopped to determine the direction of gravity. Referring to the data on this determination, the true direction of gravity to be judged is compared with the direction of gravity G1 influenced by the drift. The difference between them is assumed to be an error due to a drift, and the error is subtracted from the determined value to correct the error of the measurement value.

  • Patent number: 7163089
Abstract: A pad clip 12 is provided between a backing plate 6 and an engaging portion 4 of a support member 1 to prevent rattling of the backing plate 6 during non-braking period and generation of hitting sound during braking period. In order to restrain the hitting sound, the backing plate 6 is resiliently pressed in the rotational direction of the rotor by a pressing portion 14b and a second abutting portion 24. The above-described problem can be solved by increasing the force to press the backing plate 6 and reducing the possibility that a torque transmitting surface 16 on the backing plate 6 and a torque receiving surface 17 on the support member 1 hit against each other with great force is during braking period reduced correspondingly.

Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a floating caliper type disc brake which can effectively suppress the occurrence of uneven wear in linings of respective pads, and effectively suppress the occurrence of noise and judder during braking. In the present invention, a caliper is supported by a support member displaceably in an axial direction of a rotor. Pressed-side shim plates are respectively lined on reverse surfaces of back plates of pads supported by the support, while supporting-side shim plates are lined on an inner side surface of a claw portion and on a distal end face of a piston. The pressed-side shim plates and the pressing-side shim plates are respectively retained by mating members to be lined on by means of resilient retainers, and one surface of each of the mutually opposing pressed-side shim plates and one surface of each of the pressing-side shim plates are slidably abutted against each other.

  • Patent number: 6931929
Abstract: A sine wave electric signal whose frequency continuously varies within a predetermined frequency range is applied to a piezoelectric speaker, whereby a vibration frequency characteristic of the piezoelectric speaker is detected. A change of the frequency characteristic of the piezoelectric speaker when the piezoelectric speaker is brought into contact with concrete filled into a precast concrete form is detected based on the vibration frequency characteristic detected. With this unique feature, a filling status of concrete in the precast concrete form can exactly be detected independently of the hardness of water contained in the concrete and ambient temperature, and even if a temperature difference between air and the concrete is small.
