Abstract: The present invention relates to a transportation pipe or conduit (10, 20, 30) which preferably is adapted to be installed on the seabed between a permanent or floating off-shore platform (3) and an on-shore terminal (4). The transportation conduit comprises an inner tube or pipe (21, 31) which primarily is constructed for the transmission of gas and/or oil or similar, a plurality of elements (23, 33) provided preferably as a layer outside the pipe (21, 31) and being adapted for transmission of preferably electric power. The elements (23, 33) which preferably might be made of copper or another material of appropriate electric conductivity, is insulated against the outer environment, for example by means of an appropriate thermal insulation material (24, 34). The inner tube (21, 31) might be manufactured from steel or a flexible material of considerable strength, and be surrounded by a corrosion preventing layer (22, 32).

Abstract: The invention relates to an arrangement in an offshore platform (1a), comprising a deck structure (1) which is supported above the water surface (5) by means of a column structure (14, 2) which in turn rests on and is connected to a foundation (3) on the sea bottom (4). In order to provide a compliant platform structure which is not dependent upon guylines preventing free traffic around and at the platform (1a), the column structure (14, 2) comprises at least one hollow column (2), in the cavity (2a) of which there is provided at least one tension means (7) which at its first end is connected to the foundation (3), and which at the second end is connected to the column (2). The foundation (3) can be preinstalled at the sea bottom (4), or might constitute a part of the offshore platform (1a) such that the latter mounted on the sea bed (4) as a gathered unit.
Abstract: A production platform for offshore exploitation of hydrocarbons comprises a truss tower (1) which rests on the sea floor (2) and supports a deck structure (3) provided with a drilling module (5). In order to obtain optimum mutual distance between production pipes (10) at the deck level, the skid beams (6) of the drilling module are arranged parallel to a diagonal (9) in the cross-section of the truss tower. Weight savings in the truss tower (1) may be obtained by arranging the deck structure (3) with its sides parallel to the diagonals (9) of the truss tower (1).
Abstract: A compliant concrete structure which is supported by using a compliant pile system consisting of piles and pile sleeves so that the platform may yield to large oscillations when the structure is installed in a body of water. The invention comprises attaching the pile sleeve guides (6) and the pile sleeves (3) to a rotation symmetrical concrete shell which forms the basic structure. The pile sleeves are rigidly connected to the lower end portion (2) of the structure.
Abstract: A semi-submersible oil platform comprising two pontoons (1), columns (2) extending up from the pontoons and supporting a deck structure (3), and stays (4) extending transversally of the pontoons between the columns (2), is provided with a plough-like protecting device (8) for diverting drifting objects, e.g. ice bodies which are not sufficiently large to be detected by radar, but which, nevertheless, could cause considerable damage to the horizontal stays (4) of the platform and the drill string.
