Abstract: A method of manufacturing includes providing a continuous flat cover to an assembly line, where the assembly line includes a conveying means. The method also includes applying a flowable reaction material continuously to the flat cover, where the reaction mixture is configured to expand within the flat cover. The method also includes welding the continuous flat cover around the reaction mixture to form an initial profile element. The method also includes cutting the initial profile element, continuously along the assembly line, to form one or more profile elements. Each of the one or more profile elements is a portion of the initial profile element, and each of the one or more profile elements includes a geometry for conforming with a construction component.
Abstract: A method recognizes topology in low-voltage networks including local substations each having a plurality of output lines connected to a controllable electrical resource, and a control apparatus of each local substation. The method uses a computer arrangement assigning resources to the control apparatuses based on geographical proximity, selecting an assigned resource, transmitting a test control command specific to the selected resource from the control apparatus to the assigned resources, the test control command configured to trigger a change in power consumption or power output of the selected resource, measuring a change in an electrical variable on the output lines of the local substation by using a measuring apparatus, and assigning the selected electrical resource to that output line of that local substation on which a correlation between test control command and change is recognized. An arrangement for recognizing a topology in a low-voltage network is also provided.
Abstract: Various embodiments include a method for operating a control platform for energy exchanges between a plurality of energy systems. The method may include: receiving information related to an intended energy exchange from the energy systems; calculating optimum energy exchanges between the energy systems; receiving a plurality of possible energy exchanges s from at least one of the energy systems; for each of the received possible energy exchanges s, performing an optimization method, and therefore calculating an associated partial solution Z(?s); calculating the total solution from the plurality of partial solutions Z(?s) depending on their probability values ?z; and controlling energy exchanges between the plurality of energy systems by the control platform on the basis of the determined total solution.

Abstract: A system for storing and dispensing a flowable multi-component composition contains a coaxial cartridge and a support structure. The coaxial cartridge has a hollow-cylindrical inner wall, a outer wall arranged coaxially around the inner wall, an inner chamber for a first component that is delimited radially by the inner wall, an outer chamber for a second component that lies radially between the inner wall and outer wall, and a front wall which firmly closes the two chambers on an end face of the cartridge and has a dispensing opening in each chamber. The support structure is designed to receive and hold the cartridge, and has a side wall shaped like a tube portion. An inner diameter of the side wall is varied or can be adjusted in the axial and/or radial direction of the support structure, adjusted when the cartridge is inserted and removed, or adjusted during the pressing-out process.
Abstract: A chassis for use in a motor vehicle with variably adjustable drive height includes a subframe assembly for fastening wheel suspensions of the motor vehicle, and a plurality of control arms for guiding a wheel carrier. The control arms are fastened to the subframe assembly via control arm attachment points. A plurality of eccentric adjustment devices are provided for adjusting the toe-in and the basic camber of the motor vehicle. An insert element is provided for receiving an eccentric adjustment device. The insert element is arranged within the chassis in such a way that the position of at least one eccentric adjustment device can be varied by varying the arrangement of the insert element within the chassis.

Abstract: A control system and method for a heating system of an electric vehicle or hybrid vehicle is embodied such that when there is a heating request for a passenger compartment of the vehicle, a heating mode is set in order to heat the passenger compartment by heat from a heating circuit. In a mixed mode, an excess heat in the heating circuit is output to the surroundings, or in an excess mode, the excess heat is retained in the heating system, in order to satisfy a heating request. In the mixed mode, a degree of opening of the heating circuit is set such that only a partial quantity of coolant from the heating circuit is exchanged with a cooling circuit. The mixed mode is activated if the excess heat in the heating circuit exceeds a threshold value which is determined in accordance with an external temperature.

Abstract: A method is provided for impedance-controlled fast charging of a stored electrical energy source of a working device, in particular of a stored energy source in a vehicle. In the method: a variable characteristic of an impedance of the stored energy source is detected; a present charging current for charging the stored electrical energy source is set as a function of the variable characteristic of the impedance; the present charging current is temporarily reduced with a steep edge by temporarily connecting a resistive load to the stored energy source and feeding the load using the stored energy source; and a voltage response of the stored energy source to the steep edge is detected as the variable characteristic of the impedance of the stored energy source and is used as the basis for setting the present charging current.

Abstract: A manufacturing process includes: depositing a first catalyst on a first gas diffusion layer (GDL) to form a first catalyst-coated GDL; depositing a first ionomer on the first catalyst-coated GDL to form a first gas diffusion electrode (GDE); depositing a second catalyst on a second GDL to form a second catalyst-coated GDL; depositing a second ionomer on the second catalyst-coated GDL to form a second GDE; and laminating the first GDE with the second GDE and with an electrolyte membrane disposed between the first GDE and the second GDE to form a membrane electrode assembly (MEA). A MEA includes a first GDL; a second GDL; an electrolyte membrane disposed between the first GDL and the second GDL; a first catalyst layer disposed between the first GDL and the electrolyte membrane; and a second catalyst layer disposed between the second GDL and the electrolyte membrane, wherein a thickness of the electrolyte membrane is about 15 ?m or less.
