Patents Assigned to Al-Ko Kober AG
  • Patent number: 8359946
Abstract: A Bowden cable adjusting device is provided for one or more Bowden cables (1?, 1?). The Bowden cable adjusting device (3) has a housing (4) with a detachable locking device (6) for adjustably connecting the housing (4) to a transmission element (5), which can be connected to one or more Bowden cables (1?, 1?). The Bowden cable adjusting device (3) has a mounting securing device (7) for the transmission element (5). The mounting securing device (7) can be deactivated. A process for mounting and adjusting a Bowden cable arrangement is also provided, wherein the mounting securing device (7) may be deactivated and the Bowden cable adjusting device (3) is shortened while adjusting the distance between the actuating member (2) and the Bowden cable (1?, 1?).

  • Patent number: 7273222
Abstract: A towing device (1) for towing vehicles has a tow bar (8) movably mounted about at least two axes of rotation, and at least one mechanical drive (13) for moving the tow bar between an operating position and a position of rest. The drive has a mechanism (14) for generating an at least partially superimposed movement of the tow bar about both axes. The preferred features include the axes of rotation being positioned at right angles to each other. The mechanism is designed as a gear unit (21) coupling the pivot axis (16) and the axis of rotation (18). The rotational movement of the tow bar about the axis of rotation is derived from the pivoting movement of the tow bar or a housing (19).

  • Patent number: 5950496
Abstract: The hand brake lever 1 mounted rotatably at a stationary frame 4 engages with two lever arms 10 to a slide 11, which surrounds a tie rod 15 and is to displace same along its longitudinal axis via a silent ratchet. At least one cable line 6 is linked to the tie rod 15. The silent ratchet includes two clamping pieces 14 made of a plastic or other material, which are located between the side surfaces of the tie rod 15 and of the slide 11, which side surfaces face each other. The clamping pieces 14 are pressed via wedge surfaces 20, 21 against the tie rod 15, and opposite teeth 16, 19 lead to positive locking. The tie rod 15 is also subjected to the force of a tension spring 18 to bring about the absence of clearance.

  • Patent number: 5848554
Abstract: A multistep spindle drive is provided for converting a rotary movement into a linear movement with different speeds of withdrawal and extension. The spindle drive includes at least two threaded spindles, which telescopically mesh with each other and are in threaded connection with one another, and a nut. The inner threaded spindle is connected to a crank, and the nut is connected to a support wheel via a pipe. The internal threaded connection existing between the threaded spindles has a smaller diameter and a lower pitch than the external threaded connection existing between the outer threaded spindle and the nut. The speeds of withdrawal and extension are changed over based on the greater frictional force. A friction-increasing coupling member is arranged between the threaded spindles. The coupling member is spring-loaded and can be set for changing the friction.

  • Patent number: 4969372
Abstract: An adjustment construction for adjusting the active sheath length on a Bowden pull wire for mounting in an opening of a support wall. The arrangement includes a Bowden wire moveable in the sheath and a sheath end piece having an end into which the sheath is engageable, the sheath end piece having a surface defining a plurality of stops. The stops are positioned to provide gaps between adjacent stops and the sheath end piece is provided with a toothed rack-like displacement ribs on the outer surface of the plurality of stops. The periphery of the sheath end piece defines a longitudinal groove extending through the stops and interrupting the stops. A socket is provided for support of the Bowden wire. The socket is mounted in the wall opening and has a passage before the sheath end piece and the wire and includes an end engaged over the sheath end piece with a frictionally engageable end face. A support sleeve is provided having an interior bore engageable around the sheath end piece.
