Patent number: 11573913Abstract: A device is provided with a multicore microprocessor unit (21) capable of inter-processor communication, storage (22) for storing a file describing device configuration information, and a device interface (23). Threads of the microprocessor unit are separated: a first processor core drives the OS, and meanwhile, a second processor core drives the device driver for controlling the device interface. While sharing the device configuration information by inter-processor communication, a notification driver interface for notifying the operating system kernel of configuration information on the basis of the device configuration information is loaded and the second processor core controls the device connected to the device interface by reading a scenario sequence file into the notification driver.Type: GrantFiled: August 31, 2015Date of Patent: February 7, 2023Assignees: ALAB INC., KONAMI DIGITAL ENTERTAINMENT CO., LTD.Inventors: Masayuki Araki, Hajime Takahama

Patent number: 11231341Abstract: A method for evaluating damage degree and a system for implementing the same. A polygonal line including a first break point, a second break point, and a maximum response point is determined from a performance curve of each layer of a building. A maximum interlayer deformation angle of each layer is calculated from a maximum interlayer displacement of each layer and its corresponding interlayer height. A safety margin of each layer is calculated from the maximum interlayer deformation angle and a safety limit deformation angle, safety margins are compared, and one polygonal line having the smallest safety margin is selected. A safety limit point is calculated using the polygonal line selected. Damage degree categories are defined using the first break point, the second break point, and the safety limit point. One damage degree category, to which the maximum response point corresponds, is decided out of the damage degree categories.Type: GrantFiled: July 6, 2018Date of Patent: January 25, 2022Assignees: THE UNIVERSITY OF TOKYO, ALAB INC.Inventors: Masaomi Teshigawara, Koichi Kusunoki, Masayuki Araki

Patent number: 11205007Abstract: A method for executing a falsification check of data transmitted from a data recording device including a processor and an A/D converter. The method includes Step Sa0 of preparing a public-secret key pair; Step Sa1 of inputting an analog signal obtained by a sensor into the A/D converter, while the A/D converter generates whole digital data consisting of signal data and noise data; Step Sa2 of computing a hash value for the signal data using a hash function; Step Sa3 of encrypting the hash value with either of the secret key or the public key; Step Sa4 of writing the encrypted hash value into a noise area where the noise data is recorded, Step Sb2 of authenticating the received data; and Step Sb4 of determining whether the data transmitted from the data recording device is falsified.Type: GrantFiled: May 4, 2020Date of Patent: December 21, 2021Assignee: ALAB INC.Inventor: Masayuki Araki

Patent number: 10635241Abstract: [Problem] To detect touch coordinates, without detection errors and without using a special pen, on a substrate such as a touch panel. [Solution] This coordinate detection method comprises: calculating a ratio between the short-term average (STA) and long-term average (LTA) of output signals from at least three vibration detectors installed apart from each other at predetermined distances on a substrate which has a uniform thickness and is made from a homogeneous material that allows the propagation speeds of oscillating waves to be constant; calculating, as arrival times, the times at which the STA/LTA ratio of the three vibration detectors by oscillating waves generated by touching the substrate exceeds a predetermined threshold value; and calculating touch position coordinates on the basis of each of the arrival times, the propagation speed of the oscillating waves, and the distances at which the three vibration detectors are spaced apart from each other.Type: GrantFiled: June 10, 2016Date of Patent: April 28, 2020Assignees: ALAB INC., KONAMI DIGITAL ENTERTAINMENT CO., LTD.Inventors: Masayuki Araki, Tatsuya Sugawara, Hajime Takahama

Patent number: 10372461Abstract: [Problem to be Solved] To register a device driver in the kernel of an operating system by means of a method simpler than conventional methods. [Solution] The device driver is registered in an operating system kernel using a notification driver, which is provided with a driver interface for notifying the operating system kernel of device setting information, and a scenario sequence file, in which device setting information is described which includes device parameters, including configuration structure information about the device, and an execution script for determining the operations of the device. By loading the scenario sequence file into the notification driver, the device driver is registered in the operating system kernel by means of the device interface.Type: GrantFiled: August 31, 2015Date of Patent: August 6, 2019Assignee: ALAB INC.Inventors: Masayuki Araki, Hajime Takahama

Patent number: 10191164Abstract: A residual seismic-resistant performance evaluation system includes a seismograph including a seismic intensity sensor, a network interface, a storage, an A/D converter, a temporary storage means and a CPU; a data processing terminal for recording and processing measurement data; and a data processing server for evaluating residual seismic-resistant performance based on the measurement data. The system causes the data processing terminal to perform the steps below: a) calculating seismic intensity data based on the measurement data; b) setting a threshold value for the seismic intensity data; determining whether or not the seismic intensity data exceeds the threshold value; and d) transmitting the seismic intensity data exceeding the threshold value to the data processing server.Type: GrantFiled: May 29, 2015Date of Patent: January 29, 2019Assignees: aLab Inc., E-Globaledge CorporationInventors: Masayuki Araki, Norio Saito, Takao Takahashi
