Patents Assigned to Alamarin-Jet Oy
  • Patent number: 11718378
Abstract: A water-jet propulsion unit includes a body, an impeller for moving water, the impeller disposed in an impeller tunnel, an impeller shaft for driving the impeller, a first bearing housing to support the impeller shaft on the body, and a jet nozzle for forming a water jet. The body comprises a shaft opening for the impeller, a flow duct having a first contact surface, an inlet opening, and an outlet opening, the planes of which are at an angle ? relative to each other. The impeller tunnel has a first end comprising a planar second contact surface and a second end comprising a planar third contact surface to seal the impeller tunnel between the body and the jet nozzle. The second and third planar contact surfaces of the impeller tunnel are arranged at an angle relative to each other. The impeller shaft is adapted for alternative types of installation by turning the impeller tunnel through 180° about the rotational axis of the impeller shaft.

  • Patent number: 9346522
Abstract: A frame of a water jet propulsion unit arranged to be installed and sealed into an installation opening of a boat. The water-jet propulsion unit includes an impeller and the boat has a counter-sealing surface to which the frame is attached. The frame includes a flow channel to guide water to the impeller. The flow channel has a top with a maintenance opening. The maintenance opening is positioned to permit servicing the impeller. A first sealing surface forms a first closed loop to attach the water-jet propulsion unit tightly to the counter-sealing surface of the boat. A second sealing surface forms a second closed loop arranged to attach the water-jet propulsion unit to the boat. The first and second closed loops permit the maintenance opening of the frame to be alternatively locatable respectively outside or inside the stern of the boat in dependence on alternative configurations of the installation opening of the boat.

  • Patent number: 6968771
Abstract: The invention relates to an actuator cylinder, which is intended to be operated using a control valve controlled by an operating lever. The actuator cylinder includes a cylinder barrel, a piston, and a rod, which extends outside the cylinder barrel. A detector element is fitted in connection with the rod, its angle of rotation corresponding to the current position of the piston. The control valve includes a rotatably supported slide construction, to which the detector element is connected in order to rotate the slide construction to a free-circulation position, when the piston is in a position according to the operating lever. The control valve also includes connections, between which a through-flow channel is arranged. The slide construction additionally includes a component shutting off the through-flow channel.
