Abstract: A system for detecting motion in one or more images of a video feed captured by an image capture device. The system collects the multiple images of the video feed and segments each image into multiple portions or cells. Multiple cell groups are determined based on the images, with each cell group including information relating to contents of set of a common portion of the multiple images. A difference metric is calculated for each of the cell groups and at least one level of change of values of the difference metric is determined. The at least one level of change is data representing the video feed that is compared with a still-scene data model associated with the image capture device to determine a respective probability that each of the cell groups includes motion. Motion is identified for those cell groups that have a probability greater than or equal to a threshold value. The system generates a transformed video feed including the video feed and a visual indication of the motion.

In one aspect, a monitoring system includes an indoor climate control device that is configured to adjust an indoor climate setting of a property, a sensor that is located at the property and configured to generate sensor data that reflects an attribute of the property, and a monitor control unit. The monitor control unit is configured to receive the sensor data, and receive, from an onboard control unit for a first vehicle associated with the property, data that reflects a status of the first vehicle. Based on the data that reflects the status of the first vehicle and the sensor data, the monitor control unit determines the indoor climate setting for the indoor climate control device, and provides instructions to adjust the indoor climate control device to the indoor climate setting.

The circuit includes a rectifier circuit configured to generate a first signal based on a power source and a first switch coupled to the rectifier circuit. The first switch is configured to provide, based on the first signal, a first DC voltage signal during a first operating mode where the doorbell receives input that triggers actuation of the chime in response to detection of the entity. The circuit includes a second switch coupled to the rectifier circuit and the first switch. Based on the first signal, the second switch provides a second DC voltage signal during a second operating mode where the chime outputs the audio based on the input that triggers actuation of the chime in response to detection of the entity.

Abstract: A circuit is described for powering a video doorbell in signal communication with a chime that outputs audio in response to a button on the video doorbell being pressed. The circuit includes a rectifier circuit configured to: i) receive a first voltage signal generated based on a power source and ii) generate a second voltage signal based on the first voltage signal. The circuit includes a boost circuit that generates a high-voltage direct-current (DC) signal for charging a capacitor without generating a peak current that triggers a particular noise output from the chime. The circuit also includes a converter circuit that generates a low-voltage power signal based on the high-voltage DC signal and a charge stored at the capacitor. The low-voltage power signal is for powering a plurality of components of the video doorbell.
