Patents Assigned to Albatros System S.p.A.
  • Patent number: 5546617
Abstract: A fixture includes a hollow body adapted to be secured in an opening of a tub by a ring nut which is screwed to the body in such a manner that the wall of the tub is clamped between the hollow body and the ring nut. A ring is mounted on the body so as to cover an outer edge of the body defining the periphery of the end surface. The ring has a front wall that covers the end surface of the body and is to be situated between the end surface and the wall of the tub. The hollow body is also provided with a vent through-hole and a second through-hole extending from a recess in the end surface of the body. Sealant can be injected through the second through-hole into the spaces delimited by the boy, the ring and the wall of the tub.

  • Patent number: 5491849
Abstract: A bathtub, in particular a whirlpool bath, includes a pair of handles for aiding one into and out of the tub body, and control and actuation elements, as well as water delivery elements mounted to the handles. These elements include an actuator for actuating the plug provided to stop up the drain, an actuator in the form of a control valve for mixing hot water with cold water so as to achieve a single flow of water at a desired temperature, a hand-shower, an actuator to divert water to an extractable nozzle of the hand-shower, a control element for starting and stopping the operation of a water circulating pump and an air blowing pump of the whirlpool bath, a plug of a reservoir for liquid disinfectant, and a switch to actuate a valve which admits the liquid disinfectant into a water circulation circuit of the tub. One of the handles which accommodates the extractable hand-shower also includes another water delivery element in the form of a water outlet through which water cascades into the tub body.

  • Patent number: 5054473
Abstract: A hydromassage carpet is formed by an envelope of two sheets of suitable soft and flexible material, which are joined together with a peripheral weld and further welds effected on the inner part thereof defining two distinct ducts. These ducts include a first sealed duct to be filled with a suitable fluid so as to form a practical mattress, and a second duct connected through a feeding pipe to a compressed air generator and provided at its upper part with holes. The compressed air generates in the bath the desired hydromassage effect by passing through the holes. Inwardly of the peripheral weld are provided several circumferential toes at whose centers relevant central welds extend over an amount sufficient to form a plurality of toroidal elements. The lower parts of these elements, when resting on the bottom of the tub, define cavities similar to those of suction cups and therefore, carry out the same function thereof.

  • Patent number: 5050591
Abstract: A water massage mat is disclosed which comprises a substantially rectangular cover formed of two leaves of suitable flexible material welded together along weld lines so as to form a structure similar to a small air mattress. The weld lines include a perimetrical weld line extending along the perimeter of the cover and a second internal weld line configured so as to define a first hermetically sealed channel and a second channel closed at one of its ends and connected at its other end to a feeder pipe which is adapted to be connected to a source of compressed air. These internal weld lines, as viewed from above are serpentine shaped. Small holes are formed in the upper surface of the second channel and are capable of allowing the compressed air from the feeder pipe to flow out of the second channel so as to generate a water massage effect. A plurality of suction cups fasten the cover to the bottom of a tub or basin.
