Patents Assigned to Albert Handtmann
  • Publication number: 20100330891
Abstract: A device for filling casings, having a twist-off head which comprises circumferentially offset filling tubes and which is arranged on a support panel to be displaceable in axially parallel fashion and to be rotatable, and a rotatingly drivable casing brake which is axially aligned with a filling tube located in the filling position, the casing brake and the support panel being connected via a rigid shaft which comprises a support section extending towards the casing brake and a guide section extending centrally through the twist-off head, with a drive train being arranged in said shaft.

  • Publication number: 20090130962
Abstract: A filling machine and a method of filling foodstuffs e.g. into sausage casings, with the filling machine having supplied thereto containers in which a foodstuff is stored, and a machine control unit. In order to guarantee a correct operation of the filling machine, a data reader receives container data stored in a storage means at the respective container, whereby the machine control unit is implemented such that the filling process is executed in dependence upon the container data read.

  • Publication number: 20090111366
Abstract: A device and a method for filling a paste-like substance into a skin, and having a filling tube through which the paste-like substance is pushed into the skin, and a casing brake which is arranged in the area of the ejection end of the filling tube and which presses the skin in the direction of the filling tube. In order to prevent the formation of blisters below the skin, a second casing brake is provided, which, when seen in the direction of ejection, is arranged ahead of the first casing brake and which presses the skin in the direction of the filling tube so that air can be sucked off from below the skin between the first and the second casing brake.

  • Publication number: 20090011695
Abstract: A gripper system for gripping and transferring a smoke stick introduced into sausage loops or into other products suspended on hooks in loops or in pairs. For the simple and proper gripping and transferral of a smoke stick a smoke stick is first lifted to remove the products from the hooks with at least two grippers, wherein the grippers grip the smoke stick between the hooks, wherein the grippers hold and fix the smoke stick during removal. The smoke stick and the products suspended from it are then aligned by rotation of the smoke stick about its longitudinal axis. The smoke stick is then transported to a smoke stick depository, wherein the smoke stick is fixed in the grippers and then deposited on a smoke stick depository.

  • Patent number: 4073039
Abstract: An apparatus for producing sausage in which the sausage casing is drawn loosely over a filling tube through which the sausage filling is pumped and the sausage casing is rotated to twist off sections or links of sausage. The individual links or groups of links are cut by a blade arrangement positioned along the path of the sausage chain as it is displaced downstream of the filling tube by a conveyor arrangement.

  • Patent number: 3997941
Abstract: The invention relates to a filling machine for stuffing of a plastically deformable mass such as baked sausage material using a filling pump which, per a unit angular displacement conveys equal amount of filling masses and is coupled to common drive shaft by two gear trains, at least one of which has an intermittently-driven output member on a periodically variable transmission ratio. The machine includes a first differential gear train with three coupling connections, one each of the latter coupling connections are connected to the first coupling connection of one of the gear trains and the common drive shaft respectively, while the second coupling connections of the two gear trains are couplable to each other.
