To facilitate the charging of the conveying mechanism from the hopper 1 continuously and completely with paste mass, and namely independent of the degree of evacuation and the filling level of the paste mass, the feed device comprises a combination of a feeder curve 4 and a screw conveyor 5 arranged within the feeder curve.

Abstract: A smoking rail feed means as well as a method of accurately positioning a smoking rail in sausage loops or in loops of other products suspended from a hanger, and having, for improved insertion of the smoking rail into the loops, a smoking rail support, on which the smoking rail rests, at least partially, and oriented in the direction of the hanger. The smoking rail support is adapted to be displaced such that the smoking rail is transferred substantially in the longitudinal direction from the smoking rail feed means to a pick-up area of the hanger, in which the loops are arranged for being picked up.

Abstract: A device and a method for the manufacture of sausages from paste mass, in particular sausage meat, with a coextrusion head for coextruding the paste mass and a sausage casing, wherein the coextrusion head comprises a filling tube for the ejection of the paste mass as well as an extrusion die assigned to the filling tube with an extrusion gap for ejecting the casing material. In order to produce strong sausage casings, the filling tube protrudes by a distance X beyond the annular gap so that the casing material is extruded through the annular gap onto the filling tube and solidifies along the filling tube.

Abstract: A method and a filling machine for the temperature control of a mass flow in a filling machine, wherein the mass flow passes through several sections. In order to also process temperature-sensitive types of filling material reliably with the minimum outlay, the temperature of the filling material is measured in several sections of the filling machine and the temperature of the filling material is controlled by a heating/cooling device to a certain temperature in dependence of the measured temperatures.

Abstract: A casing brake for holding a casing at a free end of a stuffing pipe, via which the casing is stuffed with a pasty material, and to a method for adjusting the brake power of a casing brake. To adjust an exact brake power, the casing brake has a brake ring which is arranged around the stuffing pipe and can be prestressed axially and/or radially in such a way that it presses the casing onto the stuffing pipe, straining means for axially and/or radially straining the brake ring, as well as an adjusting device exerting a force on the straining means such that the axial and/or radial prestress of the brake ring is adjustable and maintained during the production.

Abstract: An apparatus and a method for dividing a stuffed sausage skein, wherein a transport element pair is provided, including rotating opposite transport elements between which the stuffed sausage skein is conveyed in a transport direction and each of which include at least one dividing element. To be able to configure the length of the portions flexibly without mechanical adaptation, the apparatus comprises several adjacently arranged transport element pairs drivable independently of each other with corresponding dividing element pairs. The speed of the transport element pairs is adjusted such that the spacing between the points of separation corresponds to a predetermined length of the divided sausage skein.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a device for making and transferring natural skin sausages formed in coherent chains to a smoke stick. To design a device of this type in such a manner that it is suited for automatically or semiautomatically transferring chains of natural skin sausages to a smoke stick, the filling tube has arranged downstream thereof a transportation device to which the natural skin sausages are transferred with the aid of a transfer chute which is provided with an access space for an operator's hand.
