    Abstract: An apparatus, system and method for desalination and purification of water where fresh water is extracted from salt water, leaving behind the higher salinity salt water. Salt water is bubbled, aerated, sprayed, or otherwise agitated to cause breaking bubbles along the surface of the salt water. An electric field is applied above the surface of the salt water; fresh water droplets and vapor are released in the process of bubble rupture, pulled away from the surface of the salt water, and collected for consumption. The present invention may also be used to purify fresh water by leaving impurities behind.

    Abstract: An apparatus for producing water and dehumidifying air is described. The apparatus causes moisture in an incoming air stream to combine with seed water to remove moisture from the incoming air stream, and may be used to generate water from air, dehumidify air, cool air, and the like. The ability to generate water from air has global importance as the need for clean water increases each year. The apparatus for producing water and dehumidifying air uses high voltage but extremely low current, allowing for both safe and energy efficient operations. The apparatus for producing water and dehumidifying air uses a vessel containing seed water, a bubbler immersed in the seed water, a high voltage source connected to a lower electrode and an upper electrode connected to the negative side of the high voltage source. An airflow path travels through the apparatus and water molecules are extracted from the air as it passes through the apparatus.

    Abstract: A photosterilization reactor for sterilization of a liquid or a gas using ultraviolet light is disclosed that overcomes many of the shortcomings of current ultraviolet sterilization systems and improves the efficiencies of the sterilization process. The photosterilization reactor has an optically coupled flow path for maximizing the cross-sectional interaction between the ultraviolet radiation and the liquid or gas in the flow path, a reactor vessel for the efficient entrapment, reflection and use of the generated and unabsorbed ultraviolet radiation, and operational improvements to the ultraviolet light source, thermal and mechanical shielding of the ultraviolet light source, and electrical safety improvements. The photosterilization reactor may further contain a novel fluoroscopic pathogen detector that provides for real time monitoring of pathogens in the liquid or gas flow path internal to the reactor.

    Abstract: An apparatus and method for generating water from an air stream is disclosed. The apparatus has an inlet for receiving an air stream, a condensing element located in the air stream, a collector for gathering water vapor condensate that is formed on the condensing element when the condensing element temperature drops below the dew point temperature of the ambient air stream, and an ozone generator that precisely generates ozone required to disinfect the water vapor condensate. In some embodiments of the invention, the ozone is also added to the air stream for disinfecting the air stream and associated elements of the apparatus.
