Abstract: The invention relates to the processing of a composite material in particle or powder form, containing carbon nanotubes (CNT), said material having metal with a thickness of between 10 nm and 500,000 nm that is layered alternately with carbon nanotubes of a thickness of between 10 nm and 100,000 nm. The material is produced by mechanical alloying, i.e. by repeated deformation, breakage and welding of metal particles and CNT particles, preferably by milling in a pebble mill containing a milling chamber and milling pebbles as the milling bodies and to a rotating body for creating highly energetic pebble collisions. The invention discloses a method for producing duplex-aluminium, in which a material is alloyed as a combination of the composite material and an aluminium alloy with different characteristics in an Ospray process.
Abstract: A process as claimed for the invention for internal high-pressure reshaping of a hollow section (12) in a reshaping tool, a fluid being introduced under high pressure P1 into a hollow section and this section having a transitional area with different wall thicknesses in the area of an edge (18 to 21) to be blocked, is characterized in that the shape selected for the hollow section (12) in the initial state is such that a thickened area (22 to 25) extends a certain distance from the edge (18 to 21) into the wall section (14, 16) with smaller wall thickness. As a result, constrictions can be avoided during reshaping and favorable edge geometries can be achieved (FIG. 2).

Abstract: A process for forming a starting profile with a profile cavity by a bending forming process and an internal high pressure produced in a sealed profiled cavity by way of a fluid, including the steps of initially, before forming by internal high pressure, forming a starting profile at a distance from free ends of the starting profile and across a longitudinal axis of the starting profile into a cross-section with favorable bending properties, by one of transversely inwardly bent side walls of the starting profile, folding during bending, flat pressing or a flat high-sided profile produced in an extrusion process.
Abstract: A method for optimizing colored images emitted by a color printer on the non-white surfaces of substrates and for optimizing the amounts of printing ink used, wherein an image motif is processed by a computer-assisted image processing system in order to form a master copy which is ready for output. The method determines, for each pixel, whether and with what color density, a white underprint can be applied to a corresponding pixel, using an algorithm based on overall color density SF. The surface of the substrate is thus only underprinted with white on the pixels of the master copy where the overall color density is lacking or low.
Abstract: A process for manufacturing a road-bound, horizontally fitted vehicle body with a roof unit having an outer skin and an inward facing ceiling with a ceiling frame, whereby the roof unit is a unit ready for installation, and a basic structure having longitudinal frames. The ceiling and the outer skin along with the basic structure have joining configurations that mate with each other at mutual places for joining. The process includes the steps of introducing the ceiling frame through an opening in the basic structure for a rear or front window, moving the ceiling frame upwardly into contact with matching configuration points for connection at least one of laterally on the longitudinal frames and on front and rear cross members, fixing the ceiling frame in place, and lowering the ceiling and the ceiling frame followed by the outer skin onto the corresponding matching configuration points for connection to the longitudinal frames laterally and onto the front and rear cross members and securing there permanently.
