    Abstract: Various embodiments relate to a cloud controller configured to control a wireless network having an edge controller, including: a network interface configured to communicate with the wireless network; a memory; a processor coupled to the memory and the network interface, wherein the processor is further configured to: receive performance metrics for the wireless network including congestion information; compare the congestion information with congestion criteria; identify clients connected to the wireless network as candidates to be transferred; sending a steering command to the edge controller with a list of identified clients to steer; and receiving an indication of clients steered by the edge controller.

    Abstract: A method for assigning a priority level to a stream by a network element in a communications network, where the network element has a plurality of communications ports is disclosed. The method includes monitoring at least one of the ports for at least one stream being communicated between a first user agent and a second user agent during a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) communication session. The SIP communication session includes a plurality of SIP packets. The network element captures at least one SIP packet of the plurality of SIP packets and extracts information from the at least one captured SIP packet to determine a service type of the at least one stream. The network element assigns a priority level to the at least one stream based on the service type and according to a policy that defines priority levels for streams according to a plurality of service types.

    Abstract: A bi-directional VLAN bridging path is created on an edge switch in an MVRP environment without administrator intervention using a virtual network profile (VNP) feature running on the edge switch. The VNP feature is configured to detect a device coupled to a port of the edge switch, learn the Medium Access Control (MAC) address of the device on a MVRP-VLAN and automatically convert the MVRP-VLAN to a VNP-Dynamic-VLAN corresponding to a static VLAN to create a bi-directional VLAN Port Association (VPA) for the device.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for preventing web services from using sensitive data in customizing web pages for a user. In one embodiment, a protection system is implemented between the user and the web service. The protection system identifies past interactions of the user with the web service, identifies text in the past interactions between the user and the web service, and identifies subjects discussed in the text. The protection system then communicates with the user to determine which of the subjects are sensitive to the user, and deletes a history stored by the web service for the user that relates to the sensitive subjects.
