Abstract: The present invention proposes a method for providing the user with the customized DRM software by the service provider, wherein a universal DRM system is installed and operated in said service provider, and a standard DRM software template is as well stored in said service provider, when the user makes a request for customizing DRM software to the service provider, a customized DRM software is generated from the standard DRM software template and a universal Rights Object of this use is generated; then the customized DRM software and the universal Rights Object are sent to this user. The customized DRM software operates in the user's system containing at least one client and server.
