Publication number: 20250144334Abstract: A liquid ventilation system includes a reservoir holding a perfluorochemical (“PFC”) fluid, and a suction pump connected to the reservoir to reduce pressure within the reservoir. A sensor is configured to measure an intra-lung pressure. An appliance is configured to be disposed within a patient. The appliance carries an injector to supply the PFC fluid through the appliance. An extraction valve is disposed on an extraction line between the appliance and the reservoir. The extraction valve is arrangeable between a first position enabling fluid communication from the appliance to the reservoir and a second position disabling fluid communication from the appliance to the reservoir.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 8, 2025Publication date: May 8, 2025Applicant: Alcor Life Extension Foundation, Inc.Inventors: Steven Daniel Graber, Jacob Daniel Graber

Publication number: 20240183622Abstract: The present invention provides devices and methods for the cryogenic storage of biological material. Devices of the invention are useful for storing material at a predetermined cryogenic temperature. An intermediate storage chamber (ITC) set within an adiabatic Dewar container includes a set, or multiple, heat transfer pipes that passively act to maintain a set temperature or temperature range. Some embodiments utilize an inner heat pipe to transfer heat out to a heat sink and an outer heat pipe to transfer heat into the ITC from a cool sink. The heat pipes may be arranged, designed, and/or filled to conduct heat energy only when set parameters beyond the predetermined range are experienced within the ITC. The method of maintaining a predetermined temperature range by means of a heat sink and cool sink are taught herein.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 13, 2024Publication date: June 6, 2024Applicant: ALCOR LIFE EXTENSION FOUNDATION, INC.Inventor: Jacob GRABER
