Abstract: A method of forming a composite cohesive material. The method including mixing a two part phenolic resin along with a plurality of expandable thermoplastic microspheres. Pouring the mixture into a mould which is then subjected to microwave radiation to substantially cure the material. The microwave radiation also causes expansion of the microspheres. Subsequently the cured material may be dried in a warm room.
