Abstract: A mixer for a touchscreen device is disclosed. The mixer includes a body. A dock on the body is configured and arranged to receive a touchscreen device therein. The mixer also includes a number of audio inputs and a main audio output. An integrated data interface is configured and arranged to connect to the touchscreen device. An audio codec processor configured and arranged to receive audio through the audio inputs and selectively route mixed audio to the main audio output and through the integrated data interface to the touchscreen device.

Abstract: A case for a handheld computing device is disclosed. The case includes a housing sized and dimensioned to receive a handheld computing device securely therein. A data port is configured to electrically connect to the data connector on the handheld computing device. A microprocessor is electrically connected to the data port. The microprocessor is configured and arranged to authorize audio stored on the handheld computing device to play through the data connector and connected data port. Audio filters are electrically connected to the data port. An audio output electrically connector to the audio filters.

Abstract: A guitar input and output dock for a tablet computer is disclosed. The guitar input and output dock includes a dock portion having a cavity configured and arranged to receive a tablet computer therein. The dock portion includes a guitar input, an audio output, and a foot pedal controller input. A foot pedal controller having a foot pedal is electrically connected to the foot pedal controller input. An electrical circuit in the dock portion is configured and arranged to transmit audio input from the guitar input and pedal press information from foot pedal controller to the tablet computer for audio processing and transmit the processed audio from the tablet computer to the audio output.

Abstract: An electronic hi-hat cymbal controller is disclosed. The controller includes a hi-hat cymbal stand having a pedal and a shaft. The pedal is configured and arranged to move the shaft. A lower cymbal is mounted to the hi-hat cymbal stand and an upper cymbal is mounted to the shaft. A sensor assembly is mounted to the hi-hat cymbal stand. The sensor assembly is configured and arranged to detect the position of the upper cymbal relative to the lower cymbal.

Abstract: An improved electronic cymbal is disclosed. The electronic cymbal includes a frame having an edge, an upper surface and bottom surface. A cover is received over the upper surface of the frame. A sensor is captured in a pocket in the cover. The cover may include one or more layers.

Abstract: A keytar is disclosed. The keytar has a keyboard body having a front face, left side, right side and rear face. A piano-style keyboard with a number of keys is on the front face of the keyboard body. A neck extends from either the left or the right side and the left side of the keyboard body. A number of drum pads are on the front face of the keyboard body. A microprocessor is electrically connected to the drum pads. The microprocessor is configured and arranged to scan the state of each of the drum pads and generate a MIDI note signal corresponding to the state each drum pad. The keytar may further include an accelerometer to provide music effects and an internal sound engine to generate analog audio.

Abstract: A removable electronic drum head for an acoustic drum is disclosed. The electronic drum head includes an elastic strike layer, a rigid plate centered below the elastic strike layer. A first sensor is attached to a bottom surface of the rigid plate. A structural body supports the elastic strike layer, rigid plate and first sensor. The structural body is further adapted to attach to an acoustic drum. Other optional foam layers may be included above and below the rigid plate.
