Abstract: The present invention provides method for separating contaminants from a liquid mixture comprising the steps of a) providing a feed of said liquid mixture to be purified, b) adding a separation aid to the liquid mixture to be purified, wherein said separation aid is capable of binding said contaminants and c) supplying a flow of compressed air into said feed after step b) has been performed to provide a feed comprising air. The method further comprises steps d) removing air from said feed comprising air to provide a deaerated feed; and e) supplying said deaerated feed to a separator, and f) separating a phase comprising contaminants and said separation aid from said liquid mixture in said separator, wherein the separation aid added in step b) is insoluble in said liquid mixture at the separation conditions in step f). The present invention further provides a system for separating contaminants from a liquid mixture.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a blend of at least one phosphorous source and at least one silicon source, wherein silicon and phosphorous together are present in the blend in at least 25 wt %, and wherein the blend is a mechanical blend of powders, wherein each particle in the blend is either a phosphorous source particle or a silicon source particle. Abstract: An attachment member is arranged to engage an edge portion of a heat exchanger plate for fastening a gasket to a first side of the heat exchanger plate. It comprises a first connection member, a second connection member and a bridge. A first part of the first connection member is arranged to engage the gasket while a second part of the first connection member engages the bridge. A first part of the second connection member is arranged to engage the gasket while and a second part of the second connection member engages with the bridge. The attachment member further comprises a plurality of fingers arranged between the first and second connection members. A respective connection part of each finger engages the bridge and the fingers are arranged to extend from the bridge towards the gasket.
Abstract: A heat exchanger plate for use in a plate package for a heat exchanger device is disclosed. The plate has a geometrical main extension plane (q) and a circumferential edge portion, the circumferential edge portion having a curved upper portion, a substantially straight lower portion and two opposing side portions interconnecting the upper and the lower portions. An upper porthole is arranged in an upper section of the heat exchanger plate and located at a distance from the upper portion of the circumferential edge portion thereby defining an upper intermediate portion. The upper intermediate portion includes the shortest distance (d2) between a centre of the upper porthole and the upper portion of the circumferential edge portion. The heat exchanger plate further comprises an upper flange having an extension along the upper portion of the circumferential edge portion.
Abstract: A seal assembly for providing a seal between a first zone and a second zone includes a rotatable sealing member including a first sealing ring, a stationary sealing member including a second sealing ring and a device for bringing the first and second sealing rings into engagement with each other. The first and second sealing rings are arranged so that a double contact seal having at least one chamber arranged at a radial plane is formed upon engagement between the first and second sealing rings. The seal assembly further includes at least one fluid connection to the chamber. A centrifugal separator includes such a seal assembly.

Abstract: A centrifugal separator for cleaning gas containing liquid impurities includes a stationary casing, enclosing a separation space through which a gas flow is permitted. The stationary casing includes a surrounding side wall, a first end wall and a second end wall. An inlet extends through the stationary casing and permits supply of the gas to be cleaned. A rotating member includes a stack of separation disks rotatable around an axis of rotation. A drive member rotates the rotating member. A gas outlet permits discharge of cleaned gas, and includes an outlet opening through the side wall. A drainage outlet permits discharge of liquid impurities separated from the gas. The outlet opening is positioned opposite to the stack of separation disks.
Abstract: A system for treating engine exhaust gas, which engine exhaust gas has a temperature of between T1 and T2, comprises a SCR reactor for converting NOx in a medium containing the engine exhaust gas into N2 and H2O. The SCR reactor has an inlet for receiving the medium and an outlet for outputting the NOx reduced medium. A first boiler unit has an outlet for outputting boiler exhaust gas (temperature greater than T3, T3>T1) from the first boiler unit. A mixing unit mixes the engine exhaust gas with the boiler exhaust gas to produce the medium. The mixing unit has a first inlet communicating with the engine for receiving the engine exhaust gas, a second inlet communicating with the outlet of the first boiler unit for receiving the boiler exhaust gas and an outlet for outputting the medium. The mixing unit outlet communicates with the inlet of the SCR reactor.
Abstract: A syngas loop boiler includes a casing that surrounds a tube bundle, wherein the tube bundle includes a plurality of tubes. One end of each of the tubes is joined to a tube-sheet provided with corresponding tube-sheet inlet holes for inletting the syngas in the boiler, wherein each tube-sheet inlet hole is internally provided with at least a protective sleeve welded at both ends to corresponding surfaces of the tube-sheet inlet hole. Each tube-sheet inlet hole is provided with a first respective weld overlay placed at the inlet mouth of the tube-sheet inlet hole, so that a first end of each protective sleeve is welded to the first weld overlay. Each tube-sheet inlet hole is internally provided with at least a bore groove that contains a respective in-bore second weld overlay, so that the second end of the protective sleeve is welded to the in-bore second weld overlay.

The interior of the hollow spindle is in thermal contact with the at least one bearing device and further includes a thermal transfer medium inlet for supplying a thermal transfer medium to said interior and a thermal transfer medium outlet for withdrawing the thermal transfer medium from the interior; and directing mechanism for directing thermal transfer medium from the thermal transfer medium inlet to the thermal transfer medium outlet in a first direction along the length of the spindle and in a second direction along the length of the spindle. The second direction is opposite the first direction.

The heat exchanger has a heat exchanger body with a plurality of discrete channels for a first fluid and a plurality of discrete channels for a second fluid. The header has a first end having a round configuration and a second end being provided with a plurality of discrete channels. The header is provided with a plurality of dividers dividing one or more internal channels of the circular pipe into the plurality of discrete channels at the second end. At least some of the dividers extend from the second end to the first end and define a plurality of channel mouths at the first end. The disclosure also relates to a heat exchanger.
Abstract: A method and a control unit for evaluating lifting force of a gas phase of a substantially vertical upward two-phase flow of a first fluid in a heat exchanger. The first fluid comprises the gas phase and a liquid phase. The method comprises determining that the lifting force of the gas phase is insufficient for lifting the liquid phase based on hot end approach of the heat exchanger and/or on pressure drop of the first fluid over the heat exchanger. The control unit is configured to determine that the lifting force of the gas phase is insufficient for lifting the liquid phase based on hot end approach of the heat exchanger and/or on pressure drop of the first fluid over the heat exchanger. A heat exchanger assembly comprising a heat exchanger and the control unit.

Abstract: The disclosure concerns a heat exchanger comprising a heat exchanger core having a first heat exchange passage for a first working fluid intended to be involved in a heat exchange process, and a second heat exchange passage for a second working fluid intended to be involved in the heat exchange process. The heat exchanger further has a header comprising a duct for conveying working fluid to or from at least one of the first and second heat exchange passages, wherein the header is welded to the heat exchanger core along a header-to-core joint. The heat exchanger core has a groove extending at least partly along the header-to-core joint, wherein a cross-section of the groove has a rounded shape with a depth of the groove larger than half the width of the groove. The disclosure also concerns a method for manufacturing such a heat exchanger.

Abstract: The present invention concerns a process for producing a solid product and a liquid product, comprising the steps of a. heating by direct steam injection a finely divided starting material, b. separating the heated starting material in the solid product and an aqueous liquid, c. heating and pressurizing the aqueous liquid, and d. reducing the pressure of the aqueous liquid thereby generating steam and the liquid product, wherein the steam generated in step d is returned to step a for injection into the finely divided starting material. The process suggests a solution for extracting the additional water appearing in the aqueous liquid due to condensed steam.
Abstract: A plate heat exchanger includes a number of titanium plates arranged in a plate package. Every second plate is a titanium plate that has been cladded with a melting depressant foil on each side of the plate, and at least every second titanium plate has a corrugated pattern, such that tops and bottoms are formed in the plate. The cladded titanium plates are stacked on the corrugated titanium plates, so as to form the plate package of titanium plates. Contact areas are formed between adjacent titanium plates in the plate package. The plate package of titanium plates has been heated, such that the melting depressant foil has acted as a melting depressant for the titanium in the cladded titanium plates and caused surface layers of the cladded titanium plates to melt and flow to the contact areas between adjacent titanium plates and form joints at the contact areas between adjacent titanium plates when the melted titanium has been allowed to solidify.
Abstract: A centrifugal separator and a method for separation of particles from a gas stream is disclosed. The separator includes a frame, a gas inlet and a gas outlet. A centrifugal rotor is arranged to be rotatable in the frame around a rotational axis and includes a separating member. A central gas chamber in the rotor communicates with a radially inner portion of the separating member and the gas outlet. A space surrounding the rotor communicates with a radially outer portion of the separating member and the gas inlet. A drive provides rotation of the centrifugal rotor for separating particles from the gas stream being conducted from the space surrounding the rotor, through the separation member and towards the central gas chamber. A ring-formed sealing arranged between and in sealing contact with the first frame portion and the centrifugal rotor.
Abstract: A plate package for a heat exchanger device includes a plurality of heat exchanger plates of a first type and a plurality of heat exchanger plates of a second type. At least the heat exchanger plates of the first type include, along at least a section of the opposing side portions, a draining channel flange. The draining channel flanges are oriented in one and the same direction such that a draining channel flange of a first heat exchanger plate of the first type abuts or overlaps a draining channel flange of a subsequent heat exchanger plate. The draining channel flanges form outer walls to the outer draining portions thereby transforming the outer draining portions into draining channels. A method of using such plate package in a heat exchanger device and also a heat exchanger device as such are also disclosed.
