  • Patent number: 9440766
Abstract: The invention relates to a sealing disc for a container closure used for a container having a mouth delimited by a circumferential edge. The sealing disc is composed of a plurality of layers with an edge. Before the container is opened for the first time, at least one group of layers tightly closes the mouth of said container. One of the layers is a metallic layer that can be heated by induction. The other layers are non-metallic and unable to be directly heated by induction. The group of layers can be sealed, using a sealing layer, on the circumferential edge of the mouth. One of the layers is composed of a thermally insulating material. The sealing disc has at least one grip tab. The grip tab is formed from just one or more of the layers of the layer group. The surfaces of the layers that form said grip tab project beyond the edge of the metallic, induction-heatable layer of the group for the length of the surface of the grip tab.

  • Patent number: 9156584
Abstract: A sealing disc for closing mouths of containers has a foil for inductively introducing heat into the sealing disc. The sealing disc has an edge region. A sealing layer is provided on the side of the foil that is to face the interior of the container, for sealing tight the edge region of the sealing disc on the mouth of the container. One or more layers are located on the side of the foil that is remote from the sealing layer. Further, a hand grip is formed as part of the sealing disc and serves to open the mouth of the container that is closed by the sealing disc. On the side that is remote from the sealing layer, the layer or layers are provided with weakening lines for forming an outline of the hand grip. The weakening lines lead into the edge region of the sealing disc.

  • Publication number: 20120103988
Abstract: The invention relates to a sealing disk (20) for a closure of a container (10) having an opening (11) delimited by a circumferential edge (12), wherein the sealing disk comprises several layers having an edge. A group (30) of lower layers (31, 32, 33, 34, 35) closes the opening (11) of the container (10) before the first opening thereof. Said group (30) can be sealed onto the circumferential edge (12) of the opening (11) by means of a sealing layer (31). The group (30) is detachably connected to a group (40) of upper layers (41, 42, 43, 44). The opening (11) of the container (10) can be closed again temporarily using the second group (40). The sealing disk (20) comprises at least one grip tab (50), which is formed only by one or more of the layers from the first group (30) of the lower layers.

  • Publication number: 20100059942
Abstract: The invention relates to a sealing disk for openings of containers, comprising a metal layer used to inject heat by induction, a layer which can be sealed on the container opening and which can be melted by thermal conduction via the metal layer. The sealable layer is adjacent to the inside of the container when the sealing disk is placed on the container opening. An absorber layer which can extract and/or absorb oxygen from the fluid is provided such that said absorber layer is in contact with the inside of the container when the sealing disk is placed on the container opening.

  • Patent number: 5669521
Abstract: A sealing cover for an opening of a container has a first foil that seals the opening of the container. A metallic foil, especially aluminum foil, is also provided for inductive sealing of the first foil at the lip of the opening, along with a removable sealing lid that is releasably screwed onto the container. A releasable adhesive control layer positioned between the first foil and the metallic foil, enables the metallic foil to be detached from the first foil after the sealing lid has been removed. An elastic layer is provided between the sealing lid and the metallic foil. Between the metallic foil and the elastic layer is a separation layer, which becomes liquid at induction temperatures, and a suction layer. During the induction process, the latter absorbs the liquified substance of the separation layer. The adhesive control layer does not have such an adjoining suction layer.
