Patents Assigned to Alfred H. Schutte GmbH & Co. KG
  • Patent number: 7243583
Abstract: The multi-spindle automatic lathe (10) has an apparatus for machining the rear side of a workpiece (15). For this, it is provided with a transfer device (21) for removing a workpiece machined at its front side from a primary workpiece spindle (15) of the machine and for transferring the workpiece to a machining station (22) for the rear side machining, whereby the transfer device comprises a gripper (23) as well as a translation device (24) moveable parallel or coaxially to the workpiece spindle (14) between this and a rear wall (19) of the machining chamber, which translation device takes up the workpiece from the gripper for transfer to the machining station for the rear side machining.

  • Patent number: 7238082
Abstract: Workpiece headstock for a machine tool, especially for a grinding machine, with a spindle (6); with a clamping device (7), which is connected to the spindle (6) and which is used to clamp a workpiece (8) to be machined; and with a spindle drive (9), where, a loosenable alignment interface (14) is provided between two sections of the spindle (6), between the spindle (6) and the clamping device (7), or between two sections of the clamping device (7); where, after the alignment interface (14) has been loosened and while the workpiece headstock (1) otherwise remains stationary, the clamping device (7) and thus the workpiece (8) clamped in it can be aligned in a plane perpendicular to the spindle axis (15), as a result of which any existing offset between the workpiece axis (17) and the spindle axis (15)—i.e.

  • Patent number: 7226340
Abstract: The grinding machine (10) according to the invention serves in particular for the machining or production of tools. It comprises a machine bed 11 and a workpiece spindle (14) arranged thereon, which receives the workpiece (13) to be machined, as well as a grinding station (19) arranged next to the workpiece, the station having a grinding spindle for the reception of a grinding tool (20), and is provided with a workpiece guide system (23) arranged at the machine bed for the support of the workpiece at the grinding location (21).

  • Patent number: 6190242
Abstract: A universal grinding machine having a plurality of workpiece holders, each of which can be moved independently of each other or jointly, by a separate slide, in the longitudinal direction of the workpiece on a slide guide disposed on the machine bed, or which can be fixed independently of each other or jointly to the machine bed.

  • Patent number: 6126526
Abstract: A universal grinding machine, particularly for the grinding of tools, having a tool magazine in which a plurality of grinding tools, together with coolant supply devices which are matched thereto, are disposed in holders and can be supplied according to choice to the grinding spindle, where the grinding tool and its coolant supply device are introduced into their receivers; simultaneously by an axial movement of the grinding spindle and of the grinding spindle slide and are withdrawn by a movement of the grinding spindle and of its grinding spindle slide perpendicular to the grinding spindle axis so that the grinding tool and the coolant supply device are always in a position in relation to each other which is correct for machining.

  • Patent number: 5581863
Abstract: An electronic control device for individual drives of machining machines, particularly of machine tools with a plurality of drive apparatuses, in which, according to the counting state of a pulse counter (35), path information elements associated with the latter are extracted simultaneously by a computer unit (37) from memories (41, 42, 43) associated with many drive apparatuses (18, 19, 20) and are converted into control values necessary for machining, which control values are then fed as set values to control circuits (30, 31, 32) for the drive apparatuses (18, 19, 20). The electronic control device (37) is supplied with a low counting pulse frequency (f.sub.z) and can therefore process path and speed information values from a memory unit (36) for very many drives (18, 19, 20) simultaneously.
