Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention provides a system for facilitating storage encryption and decryption. During operation, the system receives a first request to encrypt data which is to be stored on a remote device, wherein the first request indicates the data. The system updates a key based on a dynamic key refreshment protocol. The system determines a key label for the updated key. The system encrypts the data based on the updated key, and transmits the encrypted data and the key label to the remote device, thereby facilitating secure encryption and decryption of data on the remote device.

Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention provides a system for transmitting information. During operation, the system receives, by a server from an initial mobile device, a request for transmitting information. The request does not specify a recipient for the information. The system obtains location and/or orientation information associated with the initial mobile device and location and/or orientation information associated with a plurality of mobile devices. The system selects from the plurality of mobile devices a subset of mobile devices based on the location and/or orientation information associated with the initial mobile device and the location and/or orientation information associated with the plurality of mobile devices, and transmits the information to the selected subset of mobile devices.

Abstract: A client terminal sends a communication request to a server. The server generates at least one digit code according to a first preset rule. The server sends information including the at least one digit code to the client terminal. The client terminal generates at least one input box, a number of which corresponds to a number of the at least one digit code, detects an input event of the at least one input box, and obtains data of the at least input box when the input event occurs. The client terminal sends the data of the at least one input box as at least one verification data to the server. The server compares the digit data corresponding to the at least one digit code with the verification data and sends a successful information code to the client terminal when the two are the same. The techniques improve password security.

During operation, the system may detect an attendance triggering event occurring on a preset page displayed on a client device. In response to determining that the predetermined data transmission condition is not satisfied, the system may buffer, at the client device, attendance-related data corresponding to the attendance triggering event. The system improves significantly over previous systems by preventing unwanted recording of messages, while also providing expedient user operation. A computing device receives a first trigger operation representing an instruction to generate a voice or multimedia message. The computing device records the voice or multimedia message, and receives a second trigger operation. In response to determining that the second trigger operation represents a send verification instruction, the device sends the voice or multimedia message to a second user or group. In response to determining that the second trigger operation represents a null instruction, the device cancels sending the voice or multimedia message.

Abstract: Disclosed are a method and a system for transmitting a file folder from the sending end to the receiving end. The system uses a file folder transmission unit at the sending end side to generate a directory structure file of the file folder. The directory structure file may have properties such as the size of the file folder, paths and path lengths of the files in the file folder. The sending end then sends the directory structure file to the receiving end through the file folder transmission unit to allow the system to determine which files in the file folder need to be transmitted. The needed files in the file folder are then transmitted to the receiving end according to the determination. The sending end and the receiving end may communicate using an instant messaging tool. The disclosed method and system allow a faster and more convenient file folder network transmission.
