Abstract: Techniques are disclosed where computer technology is practically applied to solve the technical problem of helping golfers align their golf shots with respect to their targets. This technology can operate in coordination with an alignment device (e.g., an alignment stick) used by the golfer as an aid for aligning the golf shot with the target. In an example, the disclosed system can use image processing in combination with computer-based modeling of physical relationships with respect to an alignment device, ball, and/or target that exist in the real world to compute and adjust alignments for golf shots. This technology can provide real-time feedback to golfers for improved training and shot accuracy.
